I guess I should have a little more faith in the negotiating skills of a guy making $900,000 a year, but for some reason I envision Currie gauging interest as going something like this:

Currie: Hey.
Coach: Hey.
Currie: Wanna go out?
Coach: Nah.
Currie: K. Laterz.

Saban didn't have any interest in Alabama either, but they kept after him and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

I have a feeling ....as much as I want it too....not gonna happen....I feel like a kid at Christmas who got to watch the neighborhood kids ride new fourwheelers, fly remote control airplanes, play with RC cars, sport their casey the robots, brag about their nintendo's, ataris, and play their virtual boy, while all I got was a stinking glow worm 5 years after they were cool and a box of damn garbage pale kids cards.

I'd rather stay at the bottom of the SEC before I took any coach that was at Penn St during that time period.

They should have gotten the death penalty.

He's always treated his player's like crap, going all the way up to the NFL.

He can stay with Urban.

Peterson wouldn’t leave his home (pacific NW) to coach a rebuild in the SEC for 20 mil is my guess. He has job security, loves the area, a very solid program, and a much less demanding fan base. If he came here and wasn’t given enough time to build an SEC competitor (which is likely) he’d just be the next guy booted out the door with a ruined legacy.

He is wise to ride out his current gig as long as they will have him.

Schiano was, and is, a moron of the first order.

And if his close association with Sandusky isn't enough to convince, then take a look at that excellent work he did as a head coach at Tampa Bay.

You damn hillbilly rednecks really need to get over trying to get Petersen. Money isn't what drives him. He just signed a 10 year extention. Why would he want to go to the fishbowl of the SEC and especially a messed up program like Tennessee. Hell you guys had someone want to come there and because of what you think he might or might not have done you all cried about it and he isn't going there. Now you idiot are so desparate you are trying to get Jason Witten to leave the Cowboys. Tennessee turning into the laughing stock of college football.

Petersen is a great coach and therefore no way he's coming to UT. I doubt Lane and even Tee would be interested at this point. Josh Heuppel the Missouri OC would run an exciting offense. Jim Bob Cooter couldn't be terrible could he ?
