if the name was unknown but the following coach was available and wanted the job, would TN hire him?

a little "seasoned" 67 yrs old, but the picture of health
36 yrs coaching experience
29 yrs of that in the SEC
152-52
8-7 in bowls
1 national championship
2 SEC championships
5 SEC east championships
his alma mater is UT
he has coached at UT before...

im sure everyone knows where im going with this, i just dont understand why this is a difficult decision... yeah, yeah he got comfortable, but things change... look at us now! based on today, i would have gladly taken a 3-5 in conference season this year.

honestly, not even our white whale (JG) can beat his record! someone in the AD office needs to pucker up!

Let the man makes his $100k a year raising money for the University and move on. His legacy has been redeemed. No sense spoiling it now.

Hey mikepotts, it's BillB. Just sent you a friend request. to answer your question, life is good for Phil right now, no stress. No way he would jump into the boiling pot of discontent and vitriol that is the Head Coaching job at Tennessee currently!:two cents:
