We need a winner. That is all we need. We have a loser and he doesn't know how to win. We have taken loss after loss after loss. I got a feeling even if Tyler would have scored a TD, USCjr would have took it down the field and scored a TD. Dooley has made a horrible hire in getting Sunsucky to put in a 3-4 when you have nothing but 4-3 players. We let USC score 28 (28!!!!) points in the first half. It is very embarrassing to be a Vol fan right now. I don't think it is at all coaching its that Dooley doesn't know how to win. We made better adjustments in the second half and we still lost. We have to win simple as that. When the opportunity has opened, you take it and get the victory. Our D had plenty of opportunity to stop USCjr but I felt that they gave up at some points. In the end, We need a winning head coach. A coach that has won big games before. A coach that watches film and says this is how you beat this team. I not going to name any name but we need a coach that fits these descriptions.

Anyways enjoy our moral victory today. I hope we get a winner or Dooley learns how to win because this isn't going to cut it at Tennessee. We are not Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Kentucky. We don't accept Moral Victories.

Go Vols!!

If we go in another direction, Charlie Strong, or Tubbs will be the guy. Imo

Explain how he is a proven winner. If winning one Championship with other people's players makes you a winning coach then we should get Gene Chizik.

You do know his other team he left was in the same Super Bowl, right?

So 95-81 is a good record? Phil Fulmer has a national championship ring and he is no longer here.

Its not like he is facing FCS teams to pad his record like Saban and gang. This is the NFL and every team you face has college allstars. If you look at it, he actually beat 95 Alabamas.

I wish we could lure Bill Cowher away but that is not happening. I agree Jon Gruden is an upgrade to what we have now. Just worried that we go through 3-4 more years of this.

I think it is funny how we get down on Dooley but you can NOT take into account the last 2 years in determining whether we keep Dooley or not. He took over a team that went 6-7 and 5-7 the last 2 years which I would say is better than Strong did at Louisville, who doesn't compete on the same level as the SEC, and went 7-6 and 7-6 his first 2 years. Which is a better accomplishment? IMO, Dooley taking a lesser talented team than what Strong had and having a comparable record. Dooley has proven he can recruit good athletes that are quality athletes as well. Are we there yet? No. Has it been frustrating? Absolutely, but that is in part due to dealing with going thru 3 HCs over a 3 year period and the turnover that created on the team roster. You can thank Kiffin for that but it seems we are penalizing Dooley for it.

If we still had Wilcox running our D this year, instead of letting Hart run him off last year, I think we would have won at least 2 of the games we have lost this year if not 3. Yet, it is Dooley that keeps getting hammered by the Vol faithful.

With the exception of a guarantee that we get Gruden, I am not too excited about any other coach out there especially with Dooley having this team on the cusp of breaking out. I don't want to take a step back when we are so close unless it would be a home run like Gruden.

If he didn't have such a horrible record, He is worst than Vandy and Kentucky coaches with his record. Not to mention the fact that he lost to Kentucky!!!!!

I guess my wish of Bill Cowher would be good then he has a 149-90 record.

We've got to do something, we are fighting for most talented cellar dweller with Vandy and KY. That is our reality. Close losses are still losses.
