Do you think it will happen and do you think that move could have the dems in office Jan. 21?

it would be extremely hard for McCain to beat. If Hillary does that she will likely never become president though. I don't know what she will do.

McCain picking Hillary all but guarantees Obama's victory in November. It'd also guarantee his expulsion from the party. Whoever your lunch guest was, he's an idiot.

Have lunch with George Bush often?

How do you get that? Obama would get half the D vote, McCain/Hillary would get the other half. Obama would get zero R vote, McCain/Hillary would get some of it. I think it would cause a 3rd party candidate to get a huge chunk of votes.

back in 2004 he was no doubt convinced John Kerry would pick John McCain to be his VP.

wealthy and intelligent don't always walk hand in hand with common sense.

Surrogates from both parties are complaining about nasty emails and actions flowing back and forth.

I heard Lanny Davis and Ferraro both claim they are getting hate mail from Obama supporters. Ferraro claimed that Obama supporters tried to get her fired from her law firm and thrown off a board she's on.

Clybern (SC?) made statements about racially offensive commentary coming into his office from Clinton supporters.

Bill continues to say negative things about Obama. I doubt Obama wants the Clinton tag team on his ticket. If it happened there would be an ongoing power struggle in the Whitehouse.

Obama will have a hard time continuing the change mantra with the Clinton machine humming away on the other side of the ticket. It's a wrong move that Clinton might give him no choice but to make.

Hillary should take her newfound freedom from Bill's legacy back to the senate, where she can truly wield her power. I've no idea why she'd want to be veep...

Her ultimate goal is still POTUS. I don't see how a VP run really helps. I agree, focusing on the Senate and concentrating on legislation that is in the areas most likely to drive the 2012 elections seems the most direct route.

I don't think he would do it nor would I want him to. But if he did, he'd coast to the general election victory.

i never said he would pick her...his statement was it would not be that surprising to see him go to her because he doesn't walk a straight republican line

My guess is she would take the VP position if offered. Say Obama wins, some drunk, racist idiot's gonna shoot the guy simply because he's non-white. Hillary is POTUS. Of course, then some other dude is gonna shoot Hillary...
