Greetings Vol Fans! (and any Kentucky fans that happen to be snooping around). I didn't get do Hidden Keys last game (like you care) because I was relaxing in Hawaii with my beautiful wife. But, back at it this week. Proud of our effort against Bama and looking forward to this game up in Lexington. We can all talk about being healthy again, about running the ball, our D-line against their O-line...But, I think the most important part of this game has to do with the neutralization of one Josh Paschal (KY's DE). Tennessee has given up too many sacks this year. We have got to hold our own against what I believe to be one of the most underappreciated DE's in the country. If we can hold our own there, tire him out, make him run sideline to sideline, lock him out when we run his way, buy Hooker some time...I think we walk out of Lexington, not with a win, but with a sizeable win. Maybe a 14-21 point victory.

Just a little hidden key I think is important. You?

Kentucky has only given up one 100 yard rusher, that's their strength.
They have given up big yards to less than stellar QB's and decent QB's have had field days.
However, they are somewhat opportunistic in the secondary but those stats could be skewed due to the lackluster competition at QB they have faced.

Will at QB can get rattled and if you keep him contained he gets trigger happy and makes bad throws/ decisions.

Keys - keep them honest with the run on offense but don't shy away from 1st down throws.
defensively probably use Banks as a spy on the QB and try to get pressure up the middle with the front four and when the throw is there make the catch, we have had several easy dropped INT's.

I think another key that MS St showed us is that the speed of our offense will give them issues.

I think we start the game sideline to sideline as always. Then run swing passes, WR screens and toss sweeps (I know we have not done these) to try and tire them out. I expect this game to be close at half but eventually the KY D will get tired of chasing us.

Stack bodies on the line and make try to beat through the air.

Be aggressive offensively in the first half.

That would be my game plan. But I’ve never coached a down of football in my life.

Well! We are going to have to do what we did against Bama, and that is get behind the defense with our passing game again. One thing is this time though, we can’t let up on our passing game. We’ve got to go fast throughout. If Evans can get some decent runs, then we will be just fine.

I think Velus Jones Jr. takes a punt to the house for 6 in this game! He has came close a couple of times. I believe he will get one in this game and swing momentum to Tennessee for the remainder of the game.

Put Banks on their QB on EVERY PLAY. It won’t take long before he gets real nervous that a Pitbull in Orange is going to hit him HARD on every play. We might get a penalty but they’re going to be playing with a gun-shy QB for the entire game.

My personal opinion is they cannot keep up with our horses on offense. We will be fast and get behind their Defense. When they spread out to cover we will run it on them.

Not predicting that UT will light them up running the ball.... but.... the teams that skew their rush numbers are ULM (106th in rushing), USCe (109th), and MSU (130th).

Chattanooga and UGA avg'd over 6 ypc vs UK. UF, LSU, and MU averaged over 4 ypc. The totals were held down because of UK's style of play. They run the least number of offensive plays per game in the SEC at 61 while being 6th in TOP. They try to win with D but they also try to protect their D by playing slow. Hopefully that's not an option this week.

Do not let up at all.See if the Wildcats can't lol as good as old piss.Do not let them get a breath.See how that does.They are a good,tough team,and deserve credit for their season so far.I hope we can bring them down with a wildcat loss.

Tiyon Evans needs a big game today, once Evans gets into the secondary, Ky will have a hard time catching Evans
