I just wanted to say a big thank you to Volnation.

We had a blast at the game; hopefully despite the result many of you did as well.

That's me, third from the left, with the Grier for Heisman shirt.

I wanted to comment on the Vols future. Your guys never quit; that's something that I saw a lot of, last year. Jordan will play in the NFL someday if you all can get an OLine for him.
For all the comments on our Defense being soft, your OLine made them look SEC worthy. And I for one, know our defense shouldn't have played behind the line of scrimmage as much as it did.
Your DLine is worrisome too. Lack of penetration at the point of attack, left a lot of running lanes. And the DB's were just in a situation of Baptism by fire. Warrior will come up big in the future for you all.

The real growth for the team, starts now. I saw some great adjustments by your coaching staff after the first few series. And most importantly a disciplined football team. A bowl is possible with some growth, 5,6, hell maybe 7 wins with a bowl victory is a real option. The next few weeks are pivotal for your team, and I've read some fickle fan reactions. This is Dana's 9th year with the team, a lot of ups and downs. Program building takes time. And i do hope you all give Pruitt time. IF any indicator for recruits that watched that game, kids are going to get playing time. Because the last regimes players are...honestly, god awful.

Im rooting for you guys the rest of the season, and hope to have another crack at this in the next few years. No reason we shouldn't play home and home series.

Good for you coming back - tho its easier when you win :) - better on you for keeping it classy - I am glad you had a great time and thanks for the well wishes. I am hoping you guys have a special year the rest of the season.

Definitely would be great to do a home and home. Hopefully next time we have a real team - and you guys are able to rebuild after losing Grier.

I think West Virginia will be 9-3 this season with losses to Iowa State,Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. West Virginia will be making another trip to the Alamo Bowl. I'd rather wait about 10 years for Tennessee to play West Virginia again

It's very clear that the transfers you had definitely helped the D. Grier is very good. He was the difference, especially in the 2nd half. Our DB's couldn't keep up with the receivers and they were open most of the game. God luck this year...……….I'll be watching.

I hope y’all are really good and we didn’t waste a loss on a scrub team.

A drop and a miss in the 1st half made it look closer.

Yes. Sour grapes.

I expect us to learn from this game and get better.

Classy WV fan. Could give lessons to a couple of the WV posters who showed up here. No big deal, every fan base has them.

From a UT fans perspective, the WVU offense looked really good. Grier is the real deal, and he's already got mid-season timing with his WR's. If the OL can keep him clean, he's going to pile up the yards and TD's.

As for the WVU defense, I have no idea. I can't help but wonder if we didn't make it look better than it really is. That question will get answered further down the road.

Your schedule sets up nicely for a 6-0 start (not sure about NC State just yet). Then, your 3 remaining road games loom large. On the home front, TCU and Oklahoma won't be easy outs, even in Morgantown. So, it comes down to the final 6 for you guys. But any hiccups in the first 6 will leave zero margin for error on the back side. I don't see 12-0 for WVU. That back half is just too tough. I'd say the O/U is 9.5, but you could easily end up plus or minus one. We'll see. The one thing you absolutely cannot afford is to lose Grier. If he gets hurt, WVU is in trouble.

So...good luck. We'll be watching. I always kinda liked the "us against them" mentality of WVU, and WVU is usually a fun team to watch. Wish it had went better for us, but we'll get there. Still think Holgerson let it go a bit too far, but it is what it is. I doubt if Oklahoma will call off the dogs in November. That's the state of the game today; sometimes, good sportsmanship takes a back seat to trying to impress the poll voters. A lot of teams do it.

There you have it, a poorly-researched, completely sober, unbiased evaluation of the 2018 WVU football schedule. Use it for comparison, a betting guide, or emergency toilet paper. Your choice.

Thanks for showing class. And Go Vols.

Thanks for the classy post and our young team got a lesson on how far away they are from becoming a good team...Hopefully growth will come and we'll get better...You guys are legit and I wish you lots of luck the rest of the way this season....And Yes I agree We should schedule some home and home games against each other...Hard to believe after all these years this is the first time UT and WVU have ever played each other....See You on the basketball court later this season.

Congrats on the win.

Grier threw some unbelievably accurate balls and your receivers made some great catches. We obviously facilitated that by not getting in the way. Every opponent on your schedule will be focused on pass rush and trying to disrupt Grier. If your OL can take the heat off of him all season like they did Saturday, I expect you guys to have a very good season. I will be very surprised if you don't. Good luck the rest of the way.

All the praise to Grier is nice guys; but I'm not just saying this, JG showed some real ability. That kid is tough, poised under pressure, and has a tight spiral and release. With proper coaching you've got the center piece to an offense to build around. Just need the beef up front. Because lets be honest, Trey Smith is going to be a top 5 pick. He won't be wearing Orange for his senior year.
