Trump's friend is being prosecuted in Brazil:

And now Trump threatens tariffs over the internal prosecution of a political ally. Now we are basing economic decisions like tariffs on another country's internal legal affairs?

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/09/trump-brazil-tariffs-bolsonaro.html

What's next, new tariffs because we don't like your music or hairstyles?
You contine to hide your head in the sand over a government that used a fake dossier to attack a political opponent and used its agencies to flat out lie about the hunter laptop. Until you own that fraud pipe down.

Wow, talk about deflection. He is literally charging the American taxpayer more for Brazilian goods because he is trying to protect a political ally, interfering in another country's internal legal affairs. Its absolutely insane.

LG's half-sentence or full-sentence thread titles are always so interesting to me

You're ok with tariff policy based on our disagreeing with another country's purely internal legal processes because it aggravates the President, personally ?

If it was Biden doing this they’d throw a fit

You said “where is maga”. They are much like you in respect to owning their cults short comings. Most all conservatives are against all of the tariffs. How many times does it need to be said.

and when it was biden holding money from the Ukrainians until they fired the prosecutor looking into Hunter's company the left said nothing.

until you hold your own side responsible its impossible to claim hypocrisy from the other side. that goes for both sides.

Granted you're getting some whataboutism from the some of the crowd here but they do have a point here that you won't acknowledge. That said, Trump should not be meddling in Brazil's affairs but this is part of "the package" we voted for with Trump. He is what he is. We do have secure borders, a wounded nuke program in the ME and an extension of the tax cut. It's a mixed bag

I don’t have a side I’m fully aware the left does the same thing. Both sides are corrupt

Open question for the board...
how would everyone feel about a tariff on posters from rival schools for the privilege of interacting here?

The problem is that the whataboutism occurs in EVERY thread when someone brings up something negative about Trump. This is about Trump sticking his petty nose into a place it doesn’t belong and his leg humpers don’t have the courage to call it out.

This situation has nothing to do with Biden and everything to do with Trump defending one of his right wing dictator buddies that’s being prosecuted. Every prosecution can’t be a “witch hunt”. That term starts to sound like the story of Chicken Little and The Sky is Falling. He says it so much that it doesn’t really mean anything anymore.

The messenger is the problem. Not the message
