Hey Vols from an Auburn Fan!!!

I have a great memory of some Auburn fans for, I'm almost certain, the '91 game. I was out on the patio at O'Charlie's where they had a big screen set up. My friend and I came out and there was simply nowhere to sit and then a table of Auburn students made room for us. They insisted we share their food and not only bought us drinks but one of the guys had snuck in a bottle of Jack and the two of us got pretty much inebriated. Before it was over I remember having one of the Auburn girls smooching on me and my friend said two of them were but I guess I was too hammered to remember that. (or perhaps just assumed I was seeing double) Anyway, it was a great game and Carl Pickens stole the show with a long TD reception late in the game. It remains to this day the best experience I've ever had with opposing fans. (us winning helped) I'll always have a bit of a soft spot for Auburn because of it.

You were drunk and those were probably transvestites.

I'd like to be friends with Auburn fans, but they're the only team other than Bama in CFB that has beaten us more than we've beaten them.

If there were a 3-team deathmatch, I'm certain that Auburn and Tennessee would team up to beat the snot out of Bama, but at the end of the day, we would have to deliever the same beating to the War Tigers.

I also kind of like 'em because they beat up on Florida and we don't.

LOL!!! We are called the plainsmen because Auburn is located on the plains of southeastern Alabama. Often referred to as the Loveliest Village on the Plains. War Eagle is our battle cry that comes from a story years ago at an Auburn football game. A man brought an eagle to a game once and it flew around the stadium I think after being startled by the crowd. And people started chanting Warrrr Eagle!!!! So it's only a battle cry. So we are the Auburn Tigers. I hope that makes some sense. Our War Eagle is kind of like your Rocky Top. Stories like these come only from the south huh?? Have a great day everyone!!!!

Then please explain this unholy abomination...

:)

If I hadn't been able to check them out before I started drinking that would have been plausible. As it was I kinda regret getting as sauced as I did, especially about whatshername that was sitting to my left.

Welcome WarTeddy.
I think Auburn has the classiest coach in college football. Even when the administration was trying to shaft him behind his back he showed class and dignity and remained loyal to the university. I also understand that he is a good christian man and a great role model.
Go War Eagle except when you play The Big Orange and make it 7 against Satan and the stupid Bammers

And as far as that Bammer that's been posting in this thread. I'm sure they are real proud of their new battle cry. Parole Tide Parole!!! LOL!! Have a great day everyone!!!

On a related note, what's the deal with DeRon Furr? We heard he was assaulted and beaten by members of the team Saturday when he mouthed off about being moved to DB. Helped off the practice field, never to return and now plans to transfer to FSU. Family consulted a lawyer. Supposedly some of the Assistant Coaches encouraged this behavior, and now the athletic department has a deal in the works to pay him off and hush him up. Tubbs won't comment. How 'bout it Teddy, got any insight?

just found this on sportingnews..
AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn freshman safety DeRon Furr has left the team after two positions switches and a recent practice scuffle.
Coach Tommy Tuberville said Tuesday that Furr was leaving the team. The coach didn't give a reason for the player's decision.
Furr enrolled in January and went through most of spring practice at quarterback, his high school position. He spent the final spring practice at receiver and moved to defensive back over the summer for a better shot at playing time.
Furr was involved in a practice fight on the first day of fall practice last weekend. He didn't participate in another workout. The decision impacts Auburn's depth, which was already suffering with a knee injury to starter Aairon Savage that might require surgery.
