Way to lay it on the line out there, guys. You've proven to me that you have more heart than any team in college football. You guys played a heck of a game and I'm proud to be a Tennessee Vol!!

Keep your heads up!! You took it to the line and played until the last second. I think I heard that the Gators haven't been shut out in the first half since 1955. There have been a lot of games and a lot of teams between then and now. You've impressed me with your determination and grit by fighting to the end of every game and making the other teams play to YOUR level.

There's going to be some naysayers, some knee jerkers, some doom and gloomers, but know that VolNation has your back until the end. I'm proud every time I watch you guys run through the "T" and take the field.

Take the lessons you learned today and put them on the field against the rest of the schedule. Tape it up, ice it down, suck it in and get some sleep. Next week will be here before you know it. You've only just begun to show the world what Team 118 is capable of.

I'm just a fan on a message board, but I believe in you.

Go Vols!!! One Tennessee!!!

I agree buddy. Its easy to get discouraged after losing 3 games in a row and especially the way the last 2 games ended, but this is a different Tennessee football team than we've had the past few years. We give 100% EVERY play, especially on defense. Our guys fight until the clock hits zero. Dooley's teams looked like they couldn't care less about the game half the time cause they would just lay down when it got too tough. Its kind of like our basketball slogan "Tougher Breed" with this new team.

When the season started most people, including myself, predicted 6-6 or 5-7, now that that is more than likely becoming our reality everybody is just giving up on our Vols. We knew that it was gonna be a rough year and we're gonna take our lumps so we cant start complaining and acting like our season is just a let down. We play 20+ freshman. They're gonna make mistakes(Hurd's fumble against UGA) but at least they have time to learn from it. At least they're getting to learn against the best of the best by playing in the SEC and its only gonna make them that much better.

Now, if we are still having this conversation next year or in 2016 then we could really start to panic. We just have to be patient with these guys and trust that Butch knows what he's doing. I really believe he is the guy. He is getting the players we need to have a championship caliber team again and I cant wait until he brings one back to Knoxville. And if he does Im gonna be singing Rocky Top as loud as I can and even if he doesnt Im still gonna be singing it as loud as I can cause I still bleed orange even when times are tough.

I still think we will beat Vandy , UK, Chatt and upset one of ole miss, bama, sc or Mizzou. 6-6. Respectable!

The Oline will dictate the success or failure this year. Everyone is bitc$$$$ about the play calls but if you can't run and can't protect for more than 2 seconds then what do you do? To make things we have a pretty non mobile QB, so it's just bad. I am as frustrated as anyone but I woke up this morning and life goes on.

It's pretty simple already. They have to win some one on one battles and they just can't do it. It's sad but it's the truth. This will only get fixed with time and recruiting. There isn't some miracle pill that Butch or Bajakin can give our players to make them better.

You guys rock! There were times today I thought I was watching the 90's VOLS! Playing defense today. There have been some really bright moments from Worley and these recievers this year. That is why it's so painful for fans who want to see you get there! Keep fghting and tune out the naysayers! Make this program yours.
You guys are close! two plays, two calls, two stops or drops from 4-1, 2-0. Don't lose the fire, let it push you to get one or two plays better each game!! We've got a lot of good fans behind you! Each week in this league you have a chance to make a statement and all the uphill battles will be worth it!

You started a message directed at the team to encourage the many 18-19 year olds there. Banged up they well know they lost a game they should have won again. They knew when they signed at their mom and dad's side in front of their high school class least February that it was a brick by brick rebuilding job. That top 5 class wanted to come here to build a new legacy. The trolls who have been prolific since yesterday afternoon could not leave it be. We are markedly better than last year. The media and other teams get that we are better and coming. A loss by the narrowest of margins in front of a full unbelievably checkered house and some of you want coaches heads to roll. Wow. Hold your head up 118. We too share your disappointment. We are knocking at the door. In coming years we will kick it in.

Me too. Exactly what I predicted at the beginning of the season. If I'm wrong, hey there are bigger tragedies. But I'm not going to let one game derail the entire season and no else should here either. KEEP THE FAITH.

thanks OP. It does suck to watch at times but I will remain a UT fan and continue to support and believe in the team as well. Season isn't over and they can still win enough to salvage a decent season.

I've been watching college football long enough to know that you can't possibly predict the outcome of future games based on past games. If you want to continue to be a morose individual throughout the season go right ahead. However for me, I'm not going to get upset about 5-7 or 4-8, until we actually ARE, 5-7 or 4-8. Until then, there's still a lot of football to be played this year.
