BTW, Kevin Mawae was on the Midday 180 on 104.5 a few days ago, and he briefly discussed Vince Young. While I wouldn't say he outright bashed Young, he certainly didn't paint Young in a very good light. He basically said Young didn't seem to take being QB for the Titans "seriously".

Yeah, that seemed to be the case. I remember there being some things about, for example, him missing practices during some weeks.

That's probably also why they Jake Locker's actual work ethic so appealing prior to that draft

I found his announcement kind of humorous:

"I'm retired," Young told KXAN in Austin, Texas. "Unless we get a great opportunity, something guaranteed ... I've already started moving forward. ... It's definitely official, I think, in my book."

So basically, you're retired....unless someone gives you another shot?

I always laugh at ESPN articles about Vince Young, because the comments always have people saying "all he did was win" and post his career record.

If all he did was win, he wouldn't be retiring because he couldn't make an NFL roster since 2011.
