Good Luck! I still remember having my hair chopped off and being woke up the first day in boot camp with metal trash can lids at 4am after 4 hours sleep, marching all day, 15 minute meals and coke and smoke time. You'll have fun. Make the most of the opportunity and climb as high as you can as fast as you can. It's not a bad gig if you stick with it. I went in at 17 and could have been out with full retirement and benefits at 37. Coulda, shoulda, woulda!

Where are you going to bootcamp? I went to Great Lakes in '87 and I was stationed on the John F Kennedy.

That is the truth. I always seemed to get paired with a guy that was impossible to wake up or as soon as he went somewhere, he would fall asleep.

It is the opinion of some esteemed people that the person you may or may not have quoted earlier is indeed Billy Costigan.

But really Jmoore, congrats and good luck. Few answer the call, be proud of that.

Boot camp is pretty simple. Just do what your CCs say and don't stress. It will go by pretty fast after you get through Processing (P-days) and your first week.

Good luck man...I'm sure you will do fine.

Thanks for your service JMoore. You will be in my prayers. Your service means so much more than recruiting. Good luck!

As much as you and I have disagreed on this board, anyone who serves this country to protect our freedom is infinitely worthy of respect in my book.

Good luck.
