We have a better class than Oregon.

On a serious note...I am optimistic about our program. I know it wasnt the best that it could be but lets be honest. There are only a few coaches in the country that can recruit a top 10 class in 31 days. Butch may not have an A+ class now but lets see what the future brings.

don't think it is gonna matter when they put 60 on us next year. dooley and jones are like tennessee's own death penalty. the uppers at UT just don't want to win.

This. At this rate, we'll never compete for a title again. We've become what Ole Miss used to be.

why dont you burn your vol chit and get ole miss. the will not make a sec championship game in the 4 yrs of this class. if they do i will walk my azz from nashville and kiss the coaches azz in mississippi now shut up

A little early to be placing Jones in your equation isn't it? Dude has been here 3 months and has worked harder than Dooley in 3 years and you want to cast them as equals. :spank:

Should we start taking down seats at neyland and get attendance down to 65000 tops. How about we change the school colors to yellow to match the stripes down your alls back. Bleed orange or quit complaining. Our defense two years ago was decent. I think it will be again this year. I feel a couple upsets coming this year. 8-4 is very obtainable.

he's had his chances to impress so far he is 0 for 2. no reason for me to think he is a great coach on the field. this is the SEC we are gonna get waxed.

We probably will lose to Oregon this season, but they will not hang 60 on us for the simple reason we no longer have Dooley & Sal. Those two being outta here alone improves our team all around. I see 7-5 (early prediction).

It's Feb. 6th, O&W is April 20th, first game is August 31st and Coach Jones is all ready being compared to DD... wtf? The negateers are out in force... I'm serious, go to UT and apply for all of their jobs and straighten that place out... put those words into good use for our program.... tear down Neyland and start all over... geez louise..

Wow, really!?! Yes, he has yet to coach a game and the proof will be on the field. Let's wait until next season to make that determination.
However, with all that has happened, you are kidding yourself. Jones has done a very good job and we were in on many recruits late in the game but was too late. Dooley failed to recruit as he knew he would be out the door and relationships were missing. Jones ahs begun to establish the rapports needed in order to bring top recruits.

I am no sunshine pumper but let's be real.

I plan on giving Butch Jones a full year.

A full year before I spend any more money on UT sports.

The uppers do want to win and they got the second best coach they could have gotten.

The 1st best coach would have been the proven coach from Wisconsin but the other option would have been Jones.

From the rumors that I have heard and it sounds obserd but I heard that Belimni was not hired because Hart felt he could not recruit against S.E.C. teams and be successful.

None of the other coach's on their list wanted to come here. They only wanted to use us to get a raise "See Charlie Strong, & Mike Gundy"

The uppers have recouped monies from the academic side to help out with out financially on the athletic side.

The uppers have renovated the facilities at U.T.


I think they are mostly doing the best that they can. It isn't their fault that none of the coachs on their wish list didn't want to come here.

Who did you want? Lombardi?
I think we've hit a homerun with Jones, this fanbase makes me freaking sick, I guess its easier to be negative because you've been disappointed so much lately...Jones is a Football coach...period!

Yeah, I am sure that is a lot of $ all the way from Oregon. Nice way of showing your support for the school and past problems that Jones has had nothing to do with. Blame the last AD and past 3 coaches for the mess. Jones will do fine here.

I don't live in Oregon anymore.

And for the record, I blame everyone. Everyone who has been in a position of authority with UT football is accountable for the sorry state of the program. You couldn't have destroyed this program any more thoroughly if you had tried.

Fair enough but how does Jones fall into this equation since he has just taken over a program that is at its darkest hour? Only place to go is up. Unsure how far that is but He is giving a 100% effort which is more than I can say about Fulmer in his last year as well as the other two numbnuts.
