I can't believe this is still going on...

Get off Griff's back. The guy is a good man, very fun and interesting to talk to. I had the pleasure to talk to him for several hours while at the SEC softball tourney and I really enjoyed myself. He is well informed about most sports and just enjoys being around them. He made a mistake and apologized for it. Everyone on this board has made a false claim before. I don't get why people are so hard on the guy.

And one last thing... I thought that we were not supposed to attack a poster for what they say. As a guru for VN (may i might add that i really enjoy reading his posts) VolBeef should know this better than most.

The questions being posed to him are not, in my opinion, out of bounds.

His inability or unwillingness to properly answer them has perpetuated this thread to such proportions.

That's no one's fault but his own.

So long as he plays the logical shell game, the beatings will likely continue.

When he quits being a spammer I may think about not calling him out when he is wrong. If you notice I mostly ignore the normal goobs who bash our coach without cause. But Griff is a "journalist" and uses this site to drive up his click count for his JOB. He gets paid to write. He doesn’t converse on other threads that are not about his article or him. He has an ax to grind with Kiff and crew and doesn’t have the balls to admit it or the intellect to defend it or he would. Instead he brings arrogance with comments such as, we don’t understand the complexity of the media (paraphrase). Insinuating that we minions are not smart enough to see things. When in fact he is the one that is blinded by his ego and unwillingness to give the new staff a fair shake. If UT were the only or even part of a minority of schools that were having these secondary violations and if the previous staff didn’t have them then I would back off. But Griff is painting a picture that all hell is about to break because our new coach is a doofus. He is a hypocrite and doesn’t have the courage to see it. He is unprofessional and doesn’t seem to have the will to change it. Until he does I will not give him a break.

It is hard for today's journalists to transition from the paper - where essentially no one will notice their mistakes - to a team specific message board. Writing whatever you feel like has taken the place of research and investigation.

Makes you wonder how much more they were able to get away with before we had information/google right at our finger tips. Griff is beginning to give hacks a bad name.
