I keep hearing stuff as the official Florida hate week picks up about how UF players are still consistenly talking trash, I hope the damn defense goes down there and just tears UF a new one. I hope Tebow is crying, I hope Tebow is hurting, I hope Tebow never wants to see the Vols again for the rest of his life. Florida, you want a freakin war, then you gotta war. Get ready, seriously, Tennessee will be ready to play and pissed off from losing to UCLA. I know a lot of people are going to look at this thread and make negative, jackass comments, but you know what, up your asses. It's going to be a war Saturday, like it or not, and Tennessee will be ready, redemption time is here, time to rip someone's face off.

I like it.. Glad theres still someone who has some faith. No matter what happened against UCLA, I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond. That will tell us more about this team than the UCLA game. All I ask is that Berry gets a clear shot on Tebow.

I've seen and read the opposite. UM's simply instructed his players to keep quiet on the comments. To this point the trash talking out of UF has been "no comment". Actually, it's a good thing he's instructed his players to do so.

Tennessee is wounded but they are not down and out. Florida may be very focused for this game but they will be hearing all week (either in class, at the frat house, in the stores and at the gun range :yes:) just how great they are and how they will score at will on the VOLS and it's an easy victory.

Meyer doesn't want to give any motivation for UT and telling his players to keep quiet is a smart move. Right now the media has the Kiffin sound bites and quotes. They are focused on that. The last thing he needs is some Gator player making headlines with "guarantee's" or "talking trash".

My guess though is that before the end of the week, a Gator player will step up and and won't let us down. That's what their fanbase expects and desires. It's a reflection of what they have done for 20 years.

Unfortunately, Florida can trash talk all they want, because they can back it up on the field.

Yes, it is irritating. But until we at least make a game of it, all their brashness is legitimized by the product they put on the field. We haven't been good against Florida in a while.

As long as the VOLS go to Gainesville and give their all for Tennessee what more can we ask for. If that happens the rest will play itself out. Regardless of the outcome, I'm still bleedin' orange.

I'm with ya on that one. The only backing up we will be able to do is when the O line gets forced back all day Saturday. Face it, we suck. Period. I'm still a fan, but watching just ruins my weekends nowadays. It's funny how we always talk about whooping on the Gators.....when is it gonna happen? Not for a while. They are damn good and:mf_surrender: we are more like a community college team trying to hang with the big boys and doing a crappy job at that.

Good luck vols! forget about last week and just take it to the gators! The worst fan experience I ever had was at the swamp when we played their in '04... Just plain rude people.

Being the best conference in the U.S. still means that any team can win on any given Saturday. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that Kentucky beat LSU in a game that almost stretched into Sunday Morning.
I've had bets with co-workers on this game since Kiffen was hired. None of them have paid up already. Let's hope for a decent game Saturday.
I will say Commonwealth is the only stadium I've been to where the home team didn't have some drunk redneck in the stands shouting insults and profanity at the opposition. This was still true last Saturday in GG sitting just below the UCLA fans. The prototypical a-hole was screaming at them through the whole game, then walked out when he saw TN would lose.
I apologize for those few fans who make all of us look bad. I get dirty notes on my car and people screaming at me in traffic in Maryville, Alcoa, and Knoxville, but at the end of the day, it's just a game. Ane even though we are emotionally involved, we aren't the ones on the field.:hi:
