Who would you rather have? Right now I’m leaning towards Elliott but curious if it is between these two candidates, who would you rather have and why?

Go listen to any post game interview with Heupel from last season then give a listen to any other of our candidates. Napier, Chadwell...hell, pick one. Heupel has loser written all over him. He's a slug. Seems like he's just finished a damned sandwich right before every interview. Hell, I'd rather keep Steele than this guy. Go raid Saban's staff for O'Brien. Gawd, give me Schiano over this chump. We hired an AD who was going to be the savior. The guy who was going to give all the coaches a feeling that he had their back. Doors that were closed would now be opened. Now we find out that he has an aversion to dealing with Sexton clients and Heupel is what we end up with? Now we find that out? This program is dead...no...it's a corpse that's begun rotting. Nothing left of what it used to be if he's the choice.

So he must win the interview and not games?

If head coach is the requirement, then Heupel. If 1 season as an OC with a loaded roster is the requirement, then Elliott.

Heupel not likely to be the next Saban and Elliott COULD turn out to be. Should UT run another experiment with unknowns? Unfortunately, I just don't believe UT can do that right now.

Chadwell. He’s actually built something from nothing. Heupel has taken a UCF program on a high and it’s declined over the past 3 years.

Heupel was the co-oc and qb coach for Sam Bradford (Heisman), Landry Jones, and Drew Lock... Pretty good qb's in college... He even recruited and brought 1st round draft pick Jordan Love to Utah State....

Like i said in the other posts, he went 28-8, has yet to have a losing season (next season will probably be his first), has SEC experience, won Conference championship, No losing records, long tutelage under Bob Stoops.
