Heupel Love

I think Heupel knows exactly what he is doing on both offense and defense. He doesn't have the players to slog it out for 4 quarters, so he scores as many points as fast as possible knowing that if the defense gets a stop here and there they will or can win. If the defense doesn't get the stop, he knows they can drive down and either score or get in field goal range with less than a minute to play in the game. I was wondering why we waited to blitz on defense until it was needed on that last Kentucky drive, I don't think he wanted to show that hand earlier in the game so they couldn't adjust and know how to handle it.
Plus didn't want to wear out the defense blitzing until really needed.

Let us all make coach Heupel and his family know and feel.that they are HOME.The assistant coaches need to feel.as.if they are HOME.The DC at Clemson and the last.DC.at.Va.Tech have been there forever because they feel as if they are home.

It's hard to accept that that was his plan when he didn't use it on 4th and 24.

Tennessee has the right coach,Florida does not..Do u know how long I've waited to here those words 😃...Add to that how much i truly believe it.Time will tell on Hype but i think the guy can get us a least back to non laughing stock status.
I can't for the life of me understand why before even 1 season is over someone would ever say someone is "the guy" or "not the guy" barring something major.
Guess it depends on what people are expecting/wanting. Was Malzahn "the guy"? Most thought so but to some he probably was despite getting fired. Most didnt really believe coach O was the guy despite winning a NC. Idk.

The only real thing we can say is that he took a team that was TERRIBLE last year, then lost dozens of players, and now has it playing quality football for 60 minutes. That is not a guarantee that he is „the guy“ by any stretch, but it is encouraging

I'm going to slow my roll on the Hype train. I'm quite pleased with the team's play on the field for the most part. I'm getting very concerned about recruiting. The way things are going, we could take a step back in year 2. Need several impact transfers to come our way.

"Scheming players open". When was the last time anybody said that? This is what gives me hope. Heupel knows how to read a defense, a former QB. If the OL can give him time, Hooker can make plays. Upgrades there and LB would make a huge difference. Beasley is a DB playing LB. Banks is pretty good, but everybody is killing us with runs and QB draws up the middle.
