Ok I wasn’t there….. did security make the student section leave with :54 left in the game?? And then they were allowed to come back I’m confused……Glad you brought this up. I was in HH, the upper deck corner right above the Pride. So the "rushing back in" to support the team happened from right underneath me.
Felt like I was surfing a wave as it surged forward. I still can't believe what I saw. It wasn't even the steps. For multiple sections wide, hundreds of fans were literally running down the rows of metal bleachers. I was shocked no one faceplanted and cause a major domino effect with serious injury.
Never seen anything like it. I too was racked with pride.
No. Folks just left, everywhere, when Ole Miss had the ball with 54 left. When they went three and out, the race was on to get back in.Ok I wasn’t there….. did security make the student section leave with :54 left in the game?? And then they were allowed to come back I’m confused……
This right here. I can’t remember where I posted it and it might have been Twitter, but this is the truth. Recruits are exceptional athletes and I am certain that these kids have seen much worse at a weekend travel ball tournament or in the little league stands. Seriously, most of the horrible actions I have witnessed personally in life were committed by parents or fans at ball parks and gymnasiums no where near the university of Tennessee. I’m certain this didn’t phase these recruits. Made them chuckle if anything.I doubt kids whose witnessed fights and immature tactics in high school would be bothered by young college students throwing trash on the field.

I know the recruits probably will not be dissuaded by the chaos, but I am worried that some of their parents may not be thrilled and use that to try and talk them into committing somewhere elseEnough with talk about fans throwing stuff on the field. It doesn't have to be part of every conversation. I'm sure recruits didn't say "oh, those fans shouldn't be doing that. I can't play here now'. No. They saw the amazing energy and show. I do believe that will bring in some good players wanting to play in front of that.
Dooley would have commented on their hydration disciplineCoach Heupel's post-game comments were perfect. I was proud of him for, first and foremost, expressing appreciation to the fans and for mostly being positive in his comments about how great the the stadium was.
I can just imagine dickless Butch preaching about the importance of sportsmanship or Pruitt having no idea what to say. Heupel nailed it.
