Heupel claims to be more competitive than Vitello

And I want the basketball coaches to say the same thing, the golf coach, the swimming coach, the guy or gal who coaches checkers! If you wear orange, you better be competitive, and think you're the most competitive! Especially if you're the football coach!

"Not even close" .... (next sentence) "...he's a close second"

^ Sounds like a dang politician

I get that..but i think he spoke the truth as he sees it when he said not close. However he immediately processed how that could/would be spun to create a rift and distraction and walked it back some.

Something a fierce competitor but wise leader would do.

I dont know if CJH is THE guy...but i do believe he is the best weve had since CPF was at his best.

What a stupid question to ask in an interview. It makes me think that he only asked that question so he could run to Vitello and try to get a quote for some click bait headline. 'Heupel and Vitello argue who is the most competitive.' This is what sports journalism has become and that is a shame. Coaches should just refuse to answer stupid questions like that.

Leave the man alone…. Let him coach his team dammit

I love that Heupel doesn’t have to grab a microphone or get on Twitter every second something happens like other media hungry coaches in the SEC. Yeah TV might do it but he’s not coaching Tennessee footbal. Winning is all that matters there.
