Heupel called US Noles...

Never heard a single 'Aight' or the term Cornbread.

Also, the guy is likely going on about 3 ours sleep in the last 24 (based off when the news leaked, taking into account time to decompress, flights, media stops, etc.)...cut a stitch of slack here.
Besides he caught himself and corrected pretty quick.

I've got a Texas A&M fan friend that couldn't say Vols correctly if you held a gun to their head even after telling them how to say it 10x

Vols/Noles I can't see how he could have a slip of the tongue, especially having come from a Florida school. :rolleyes:Ease up the man has literally been on the job an hour. Leave it to TN fans to pick a part coach before game one. $h*t is all new to him and the family.

Obviously we have no clue on how to poach a really good coach.
If he was really good he would have already been coaching Oklahoma, then Missouri.
Back where we started.

I feel that we're honor bound to bust CJH's chops for that little flub. It's what we do.

I don't think anyone is actually making a decision about him based on it though. Anyone who's made up their mind about him already, did it before the presser.

The guy was obviously nervous. And likely dead on his feet tired. Ive been there.

I will freely admit to being an insufferable, cynical smartass. And that’s outside of VolNation...But this culture of jaded, acerbic, continuous outrage is beginning to really wear thin.

I mean, I’ll still take part in it, but I won’t enjoy it as much.

Probably...

The Mississippi-Tennessee game next season should be a fun shootout and coaches are not paid to win press conferences.

Fun irony. He comes in and calls us Noles. Today he then fires a former Nole that he happen to beat for a Natty back in 2001 for the 2000 Championship.
