Yes. He sucks. They are usually around 8 wins a year. Last year before he took over 4-7, but the last few year since Hugh Freeze and Malzahn were there they have been a winning program. 2-10 this year under Butch

Damn I was sure Saban was to Butch like Mr Miyagi was to the Karate Kid. I felt sure that wax on, wax off on Saban’s Mercedes would teach Butch some valuable coaching lessons he could use in life.

I just took a peek at his staff. His son Alex is doing Offensive QC, and Zac Jancek is on the defensive side of it. He has Chance Hall as a grad assistant. As to the rest, there is none of them I have heard of, and compared to the staff he brought here from Cincinnati? I have to conclude this bunch is a far cry from what he brought to Tennessee. I think some were retained from Blake Anderson's staff. And he has brought some folks from different places, but none are familiar at all.

Edit: One thing is for sure upon closer inspection; Saban did not cure him of his strange fascination with the I word.

Butch was obviously a bad hire, but he’s also the only coach to get us to 9 wins two years in a row in quite some time and he didn’t leave us with any major program scandals save bad recruiting. Butch is universally defined as a bad coach, but there’s a good bit of the fanbase that defends Pruitt. I’ll never understand it.
