Heup to LSU noise and where does TN job rank?

Drink was also one of the first coaches to really embrace NIL out there. It has been a big foundation piece for him there.
And I'm surprised he has done well at Missouri because I didn't even know who he was.

If he gets a big time job, whether that be Florida, LSU, Penn state, heck I'd even throw in UCLA and Auburn, he will be a problem for many

If he wants to kill his career, he entertains UCLA. If he wants to contend for the next level, Auburn would be slam dunk spot for him.

And here becomes another problem. If Florida beats Ole Miss, Ole Miss is probably going to miss the playoffs, this gives other teams access to Kiffin Early

Would Ole Miss come knocking on Hype's door? I think so. Now it would be going down a ladder for Hype, but would there be more money involved? Are thr reports true of Josh being thin-skinned?

Ole Miss would need to lose to MS State as well. They’re a lock for the playoff at 10-2.

Even though UCLA has been a garbage job for a long time, granted them hiring the right coach, you can get players there. In the heart of L.A

I wouldn't recommend it for him but it's less pressure and probably stupid money

well if he goes he goes hope he takes Tim banks too
Agreed. I don’t wish for him to leave but if he does, the program is set up well to find a fine replacement. Heck we might could outbid Florida for Kiffin. And I know there will be plenty of people who disagree with this as well but I think James Franklin is a dang good coach.

They fired their AD didn’t they? Have they already hired a replacement?
They promoted Ausberry and made him full-time but the only way Heupel leaves would probably be if White left.

White would be pretty dangerous with LSU's resources and it's probably a decent stepping stone job for his resume.

I like having CJH as our coach but please explain to me what makes him a must have coach for other powerhouse programs? I am missing something.

Simple…. Some of these schools think they can use their name to get any coach they want. When they are only so few coaches that are the homerun hires, some schools won’t be successful in each getting a homerun hire. So what happens when a big time school misses out on a homerun hire? They panic. And they aren’t gonna go from setting their sights on a homerun hire with top in the country money to hiring a mid major coach.

So what is the happy median? Hiring a proven coach that isn’t an unknown or risk hire.

Most recently, LSU did it with Brian Kelly after thinking they had Riley in the bag. Arkansas did with Bielema after the Petrino scandal.

Heupel would be the proven but not homerun hire.
