I am hoping that the tropical storm or hurricane gets through all of Florida and doesn't leave us without power by Thursday evening so I can see the kickoff of the first game. Sure don't want to just have to listen on the Animal app on the iPhone. Sure do want to see what Neyland looks like this week. Go Vols. Beat Appy.

Yeah, we're in the crosshairs here right now, and the center should reach here right around kickoff. Yee-ha.....

Always wise to be prepared for any eventuality, so I've had the long-haired mess cook practice getting up on the roof with a Radio Shack roof antenna. I figure as long as the winds don't go above 50, she should be able to hang in there.

J/K...if they get to 40, I'll let her come down.

Go Vols.

When my wife and I moved here in 03 had 3 hurricanes in a couple of months , convinced me to buy a 6200 watt generator . as long as it does not blow the roof off it's FBTIT .

I don't like the WNML app... it wigs out frequently. Lately I've been using the iHeartRadio app (and tuning in to WNML) and it's worked far better. I think that the WNML app might be a data hog by constantly throwing pop up commercials at the user.

Hunker down and be safe down there.

Really?

According to the National Hurricane Center, it's gonna pass well to the southeast of us. Centerline is tracking right along the GA-SC-NC coast after it gets across FL. And it's not that big a storm that it would reach us, doesn't look like.

Here's the rainfall potential chart associated with that storm:

We might get rain Thursday night, but don't think it has anything to do with this tropical storm.

Guessing he is in Florida, not Knoxville. Thread confused me for a second too.

Ah, I get it. So he lives between Gainesville and Jacksonville, which is about where the center of the storm ought to be Thursday evening.

Well, if you choose to live in such a disreputable neighborhood, you can't complain when the rowdys come to visit :)

These things have knocked me out of viewing our first game more than once.

If it does grant me a reprieve for this first one ... then, Sept 10 is the historical date most likely for a hurricane to hit Louisiana. :(

May all of you folks be safe.

Im in PCB and only looking at an inch or so of rain. Comes in Thursday with the top of the cone reaching around apalachicola. So the panhandle should be good to go.

Good luck to you and be careful! GBO!

Yeah we've been watching it closely. We go down there once a year every year and this thing decided to hit us the day we are supposed to get down there. I got a feeling I might be in alabama for a couple of days waiting it out. Hoping it will move on quickly, but it's not looking good to be honest. Thanks for the well wishes though. there is no turning back. What happens happens.

It keeps creeping west doesn't it. We thought we would be good in the pensacola area until yesterday. The bad part is with the system off the carolinas and the steering high above it looks like it might just sit there and churn chaos for little bit. Hoping not of course, but I could see it happening.

We're heading to Orlando Friday Early, so hoping it's gone by then.

Bad timing just like us. You are probably running right into the teeth of it TBH. Gonna be a mess. If you can find somewhere north to spend a couple of days it will probably be best. That's what we are looking into. They keep upping the rain totals so plan on flooded streets and neighborhoods and closed businesses. Alligators in the sewers and such 😄. Be safe. If something goes bad for me don't feel sorry for me. It's my own stupid fault for driving into a storm like this.

Ha ! But you live in Florida so you know if it goes through Thursday night that by Saturday the field will be in great shape!

I don't know what you are talking about. You can't untransfigure a swamp back into a stadium, stupid muggle. Hurricane Hermione has no mercy.
