He's only 217 right now according to Hubbs because he had a serious sickness though I dont know what, that kept him off the field for a few months and he lost a bunch of weight. I do think he has great upside though and I think it'll be him over Askew that will win the starting job. I feel back for Nick Reveiz though becasue he will likely disappear in the shuffle with this new offense. He looks huge in his picture with the LB's.

I think Nick had done an outstanding job with us, Thompson said. Hes a very intelligent guy. Hes a very intense guy. Hes probably our most physical linebacker. Ive been very pleased with Nick.
Thompson said he has no issues with Reveizs talent except for one small one, his height. Reveiz is listed at a generous 5-10, but is one of the strongest players on the team.
Weve seen Zach Thomases (and) Sam Mills, Thompson said, referring to short, successful linebackers in the NFL. The deal is Execute the defense. To this point, hes done a pretty good job of that.
If Askew picks up the system fast enough I could see McCoy going back to WLB, Lathers at MLB and Askew at SLB opening game...
I still think that will be the lineup by the UF game...when you look at LB there just isn't the talent to keep a player like Askew off the field...and since we no longer have a coach who favors seniority that won't hurt Askew either
I can't see our defense having 2 starting LBs who have never played a snap in the SEC...
Rico is going to be a beast in his new spot. His speed and agility is going to allow him to reek havoc on blitzes and he will do a fine job in coverage.
The coaches see something in him and think this is the spot that best fits his style of play.
He looks huge in his picture with the LB's. Take a look back at his HS videos and check out his speed.
If he is able to play with that kind of speed with his new size, I like his chances of getting on the field early. He's going to surpise a lot I think.
