He's not been a coach in 9 years. What are they thinking? And his winning percentage is only .422. Be better off with Butch. Plus he had a cush job. Why does he want to get back into college coaching?

Any of this sound familiar?

He was their Gruden...lol

Herm Edwards? It was quiet because nobody wanted him. He was probably mowing the grass one day and the President of AZ St came up and said, "Hey Herm, wanna coach football again? If so, you won't have to worry about the lawn."

Perhaps. I expect he will bring in quality recruits however.

I've met Herm, and he's even nicer in person than he is on TV. He will be able to recruit. Coaching is another story though after a long hiatus.

Terrible, inexplicable hire by ASU. Why would they not go after Sumlin or Norvell? Of course, still doesn't hold a candle to anything Currie has done as AD.

Can't believe all the hate for Herm...guy is awesome

I love Herm, but he hasn't coached in college since 1989.

And the man is 63 years old.

He'll be 64 years old when the 2018 season kicks off.

Are there other coaches out there that old? Yes.

But, not as new hires.
