Here's what needs to happen next

Hart has screwed up the basketball and football hires. He should be gone in the next three months - long before the season ends. We have to have a new AD.

Butch must fire Debord, Azzani, and Mahoney after the Alabama loss. He should be preparing for that transition after the Butch Jones show today. He's got to do this to show that he means business in letting go of his offense. He has to own the BSiA and his decision to hire Debord.

Jancek and Co are a harder question. If they can't get someone other than JRM playing linebacker at SEC level, then he has to replace the whole staff.

He has to recruit another Top 5 class nationally and keep them.

He has to apologize to Jalen Hurd personally.

He has to apologize to Tennessee fans generally.

He cannot say "youth" EVER again.

He may have not done his research with the last ball coach but he got it right with Barnes. Everything else is spot on.

We need a new AD who is willing to make the hard decisions and who is compotent enough to go out and find an SEC caliber coaching staff.

Be sure to tell him this time that AARP isn't a hiring agency. Someone dropped the ball on that one on the last go around.

I agree with Vol Halen but I would add a few to the list. In addition to personnel changes he must admit that coaching at Cinn, Central Michigan and the like is not the same as the SEC. Admit your system doesn't work, our playbook looks like it consists of maybe 10 plays, and state publicly that you will play the best players available. Then we want to hear that so far this year you have been a bust and do something to keep your players together. By the way it is obvious Tuttle and KMac are players and just playing third downs is bs.

If, and that's a BIG if, Butch fires any coaches I don't trust him to hire any coaches.

You can kiss those top 5 classes goodbye at this point. Every coach in America will negative recruit the crap out of this debacle.

If he went out and got a couple of highly regarded coordinators it may could be fixed , but not until then.

Jancek pretty much sucks. Martinez sucks, Debord should have been left at the retirement home.. Greatest Staff my azz..

Need to fire Hart. The new AD needs to look at Butch's contract and see what he can control. Move his office to a lavatory in Ayres Hall. Lock him out of the athletic facilities. Make him broadcast his TV show over Skype from the lavatory. Take away his wings and make him ride a bus. Replace his ride with a beater from a buy here pay here lot. Whatever.

Then let Dobbs and the team coach the rest of the way out.

Some of your suggestions are absurd.

Fire 3-4 coordinators mid-season. Come on. Still too much to play for and these kids deserve better than that kind of turnover mid-stream

Go out and sign another top 5 class? Three in a row? "Hey, while your at it Butch, find the Holy Grail, a leprechaun under the rainbow with a pot a gold, a ..." You say it like getting 3 top classes in a row is like a task on a honey-do list. CBJ pulled off miracle getting two and you want a third? Good grief.

Apologize for Hurd? For what? Ensuring he does not get 150 yds per game in the SEC? Yea, that's always a guarantee. Our o-line is just not SEC caliber right now.

Guys I am pissed like the rest of you but come on. I guess asking for reason on here is about as ridiculous as your list. My bag ..............

I'm sorry, but CWM must be removed from the staff. I say bring Terry Fair back home. Hear he's doing great things.

These coaches aren't good enough by a large margins. A strong statement has to be made, otherwise, we can replace everybody at the end of the season (but I don't want Hart in the AD at that time).

He can't coach. Right now, the only reason to keep him another year is recruiting success. Yes, it's tough - but he's got to do SOMETHING RIGHT.

If you are talking about Tyndall then you're right but Barnes will get us back to the NCAA tournament in the next 3 years. That is an example of hiring a coach with a proven track record which Hart deserves some credit for.

If you mean this in the sense that he hasn't coached a game at Tennessee yet then sure but any coach that can take both Providence and Clemson to the NCAA tournament three times a piece has a good enough track record to be a successful head coach at Tennessee. Clemson has been dreadful since he left.

Gillespie and Elder are the only two who should stay. Maybe Stripling? Everyone else is bad
