Here's the problem...

UT fans went nuts that Sunday morning when Schiano was announced and it had nothing to do with Penn St. That was a "convenient" reason to hate the hire. I'm not a Schiano fan as I witnessed his time in Tampa and thought he was/is Butch on roids, but the outrage was because they hired someone not named Gruden.

Had UT rolled out Pruitt that same Sunday morning, IMO, there would've been an equal protest. Probably because he's a Bammer.

That's my recollection as well...

Leach turned us down
Peterson turned us down
Y'all can name the others, at least 3, I can't think of their names
We slandered Schiano
Butch Jones lost 2-3 games by less than a touchdown
We watched Memphis hire 2-3 absolute superstars and were too proud to hire them away
Majors died
Never weighed in on Kirby Smart when he was available
We were too proud (again) to snipe a good coach from Vanderbilt
Dude went to Texas AM knowing he wanted nothing of this shart show
Kiffin saw the writing on the wall before any of you did
Dooley was better than what we got now

I predict our next coach will be someone we have to look up on the internet to find out where he used to work.

That's the problem.

The Schiano one is the reasonable miss due to the social media trolls.

Currie offered the job and leach took it in principle. Currie was replaced by Fulmer who withdrew the deal.
No. The admin ordered Currie back to Knoxville and fired him almost immediately when he returned. The admin did not want any part of Leach who sued the former university he had coached for.

The problem is there are no expectations for this program. The program is like tumbleweed, where ever the wind blows it goes.

Fulmer should've called Kiffin when he had the chance honestly. Tennessee is no longer a team that is coming for a powerful position, we need someone with an edge like Kiffin or James Franklin that is ready to punch up. I think Kiffin given a second chance here would have worked.

Yup. That’s exactly right. Currie offered the job and the university through Fulmer withdrew it.

He was suing for not being paid his buyout. Not exactly crazy. Since the "cause" he was fired for was proven to not hold up.

Didn’t Leach lose his job at Texas Tech for putting some player in a shed?

Kiffin is currently 1-4, though he did beat Kentucky.

I believe there was more to it. It was unlawful termination if I remember correctly. He was claiming he should not have been fired for cause.
