Over the past few seasons Ala has utilized numerous ex-coaches and football guys to assist the staff under the guise of "training" or "employment assistance"..This loophole has allowed Ala to gain a huge advantage in day-to-day operations and IMO an overwhelming edge during weekly practice sessions and on game day..I would like to think Pruitt broached that subject during the hiring process..Does anyone else have an opinion about this??

If you can’t beat em hire em, he’s got the blueprints for the entire Bama defense. Everything he learned there he’s bringing here..😬

Also that was a question to Fulmer after Pruitt left... When he was talking about "how Alabama does it"

The $5M staff is just for on-field coaches, doesn't include support staff. He has already hired one of bama's staffers and we are going after Austin Thomas from LSU. The best GM, or Bob Welton if you well, in the business. He just happens to be a TN grad, so good for us.

Yes, we will be bringing in analysts. Under Phil TN has decided to get serious about football again. Brighter days ahead ladies and gentleman, get excited!

He has $5,000,000 for staff so if he has enough in the budget go for it

That wont work long and that's what worries me more than anything. These guys come in here and work their azzes off and season ticket sales will reach an all time high and we're already one of the top revenue generating programs in the nation. Bama shucked $5.9mil out last year and still can't hold on to'em. The way of the world I reckon. Let's at least get behind this staff 100% and stay behind it.

That's the 3rd or 4th highest staff budget in the country. If these guys win and are successful they will get raises. Pretty solid commitment for a new coach that's coming from a coordinator position

What's interesting about that is, he gets to pick an OC/scheme specifically to give Bama's defensive philosophy fits.

I'll be thrilled if teams come in here trying to poach our coordinators and coaches. That means we're winning and people are taking notice. If no one wants any of our coaches and coordinators then that is when it's a problem.

I imagine he did with Fulmer and Bev. I'm sure they gave him there blessings on that. When he ranted about everyone coming together from administration to maintenance, etc. he meant it. Everyone has to be involved and in order to do that you have to give him the resources and authority to get what he wants in order to be successful. Saban does it better than anyone, hence why they're the best. He sees it and that's what he'll implement at UT. IMO this will be a home run hire!

Actually 5th. And if I am not mistaken - that is similar to where the budget ranked last year.

Yes I know what the news flash stated - but we had the same newsflash last year in January about the prior staff.
