Here we go again!

... maybe it started when UT came back against Penn State, first night game at Neyland, in '72... amplified by Purdue's win over Michigan in '76 and sadly cauterized into my memory last year in Columbia: it's a game, played with an oblong ball, by 20-somethings trying to balance emotion and talent under the leadership of a few men while being watched and yelled at by thousands: anything can happen over the span of a 60 minute game clock. They call 'em "upsets" for a reason - I'm looking for the Vols to show up, fight, and surprise a lot of experts that didn't give us a chance. Go VOLS!
Yes sir...I was in Neyland Stadium for unexpected VOL wins: 1983 vs. Bama, 1985 vs. Auburn, 1998 vs. Florida, etc. Of course, I also witnessed losses to Duke, N. Texas St., vandie, kentucky & other inferior teams.

I witnessed the North Texas State debacle in person. I lived through the nadir of Volunteer football, an 0-8 SEC season. I’m still Orange. I’m a UT alumnus, and I will always support the Vols. GBO.

It's that magical time of the year again when we gather 'round to witness the clash of these two great programs. Honestly, predicting what'll unfold in this game is like trying to forecast the weather in Georgia– just wait 20 minutes and it'll change. Our defense is injured but looking to fill in with freshman linebackers, Brocks not 100%, our D Line is not what it was, and I'm sure the stadium will be rocking.

I'm more concerned than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Ignore those overconfident folks who claim its going to be a blow out. Deep down, we all know its going to be a damn war! I pray for a good close game with no injuries on either side. Now let the hate begin! Go Dawgs!
Always good to see you pop in Fade.

Pretty sure this game has already been decided, SEC has too much invested in Georgia and Bama at this time, have to have them in the playoffs.

I'm not part of "y'all" in the traditional sense here.

I'm a Gator fan and already saw what awaits UT next weekend. I weep for them.
Lawgator, I apologize, I knew this from years past. but have gotten old it seems.
I apologize for the hate crime performed in Jacksonville. You can blame Spurrier for scoring 50 on Kirby as a player in Athens. The hate runs deep.

thank you sir! Always good to stop in. You guys have always treated me well. I wish I was as confident in the W as some of yall's fans. Neyland has never been kind to us, and Dolly is singing. Got me nervous.
Lol you guys have won at Neyland in 2001,2003, 2005, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2019 and 2021 y’all have owned us at Neyland this century

I was at the Wyoming game, horrible loss

Some of our fans are pansies. People forget how hot Tennessee started out against Bama; there is a chance this team can put together a complete game at home vs Georgia. I wouldn’t bet on it but it’s not like Tennessee cannot win this game. Georgia has to play solid football. This will be the biggest test of their season so far.

I'm scarred from the past. You say 20 years ago I think 1980. These last few years feel like a dream I will wake up from and it not be real.

I have two daughters who graduated from GT and a son transferring there this summer, I live about 45 minutes away from Athens, my wife was raised a GT fan (went there for 2 years) and rabid GA hater.
When you add in my TN angle (my 3 kids are also huge UT fans), the hatred is blinding......in the best of ways.
THWG

One of my daughters got married a month ago (to a Tech grad).
I ended my toast with .....THWG!!!!

"The Happily Wedded G..........." (My son in law's last name begins with a G)

All of the Tech people loved it.

I respect the hate and it is mutual (only on the field of course). Worst of luck to you my friend!

This upcoming class will be 3 years of Hype, you would think we should improve next year, however, I am very concerned about our ol, who is going to replace them, will they be as good, better, or worse?
Won't know that for a while. I would expect struggles early and improvement on the back end depending how injuries and who comes back go.

Wow. We literally have a fan from the other fanbase on here complimenting our team and the program, and meanwhile our fans are using it as a means of *****ing on Heupel and the players. That’s just sad.
What did you see last weekend that Inspires any confidence? The defense is garbage right now and lacks quality depth. Injuries are piling up and if our run game is shut down, we have nothing on offense. I don't know how much more Huepel needs to see from Tim Banks and Willie Martinez....they have to go
