Here we go again ...

That’s because we’re not a top program. We’re top 15 in actuality, when most Tennessee fans delusionally think we’re top 3 or 4.

Alabama was NOT a top 3 or 4 program when the managed to hire Nicky Satan! Yet they managed to pull off the impossible. It's up to Currie. Either he gets a great hire (i.e. Gruden, Petersen, Frost) or he gets another unproven "up and comer" who has not yet done anything of note and we're back here doing the same thing 4 or 5 years from now only this time we are on the level of Ole Miss, Miss. State, ect. Currie better hit a home run or this is the death knell for Tennessee football.

Of course I do. What does that have to do with how piss poor our team is right now.

When Saban retires, the balance of power will very likely shift in the SEC and nationally away from Tuscaloosa, don’t disagree with you there. But there’s no reason whatsoever to think that his retirement will change the fortune of our crap program right now. Why would that change anything that goes on in Knoxville other than possibly that one game per year? Our issues go way deeper, are much, much bigger than who or who isn’t the coach at Alabama.

I was replying to a post by an Alabama fan. If you have a problem with that then put me on ignore please.

Saw a few articles last night that Tennessee made offers to Chip Kelly and he declined.

Get ready for another hire that isn’t going to be “a name”.

See you all back here in 4 years to do this again.

We never offered Kelly and Gruden is our next hire. End of story.

I’d say, right now, we aren’t even in the top 25.

We’re a punchline; from the program, to our clueless media, to our loud and obnoxious fan base.

After turning on and firing a National Championship coach as quickly as the program took an inevitable downturn, no coach with solid potential is going to take UT seriously. At best, the coaching job is simply a roll of the dice and not many are willing to risk their future potential.
