ESPN hates UT. For the SEC to sign that huge contract with ESPN, it had to sacrifice UT. Makes since, if you don't think about it.

Sorry for being so blunt but I am convinced gossiping negative fans are contributing to the ruination of this team. I see it every year in our recruiting! In our Coach Hiring! I mean every time we try to get a big time coach I see them turning down this job! Doesn't anyone wonder Why? We have some of the best facilities in the nation, the Academics is top notch, the University's location is in a beautiful area, we are in the SEC, the university leadership is committed to winning and we have some of the deepest tradition in the country. So again, I ask why is there no big time Coaches wanting to Coach at Tennessee!

Simple: Constant Negative FAN Base!

Don't get me wrong, I am just like everyone else when it comes to being upset with the coaching and how the team is playing right now. But I sure as heck don't get on here every chance i get and talk crap about the coaches and players. It is a matter of respect for the school, coaches, players and does nothing to make this team better.

I don't believe in this conspiracy theory but I do subscribe to the fact that we are not all the same. The folks in this state are not the same as the folks from florida and the folks from alabama. I know that's not a pc opinion and I know the young pc crowd around here will tell you that such and such happened at alabama. Such and such did this at florida. I'm so sick of hearing what saban did or what saban would have done. Some of you need to go look in the mirror and confirm what color your wearing.

You and everyone else misunderstands the OP. I'm not advocating for UT only hires. I'm not even advocating completely against UF and Bammer hires, if they were doing the proper job to get our ship righted and they are committed to high level winning.

Cheek may have been at Florida for a long time but he's an Aggie at heart. Aggies are some of the most loyal people to their school. Point blank. I'm sure he isn't doing anything to embarrass UT on purpose cause that would bring disgrace to A&M as an alum. It goes as far as the University pays for 51% of thier class ring so that if you bring embarrassment to A&M they hold the right to have it returned.

I'm not a fan of cheek, but I wouldn't accuse him of hurting UT on purpose unless you have some proof.

I'm not going to get into the hart or cheek should be fired part of it cause I think that will be settled saturday . Until 9-15-12 I was drunk on the dooley-aid ,then 10-13-12 came around and I became a believer in change . I became a ut fan because of the 85 sugar vols .I was 10 and the team was something to believe in . Now look at what the kids in Tennessee have to choose from . Would you want to grow up pulling for a program that is as bad as ours is now ,from football ,basketball ,baseball ,and even the track and swim teams .So pick a sport and you will find unhappy fans . Put them all together you get a picture of one FUBAR'ed program with NO clear direction in site .

Only in part am I basing my argument on what Basillio is saying. What he is saying is also being backed up by very credible posters on other boards. If it was just Basillio saying it, then I might not be as concerned.

The bottom line is Butt-Cheek has been a problem for the football program from the get go. It's way past time his sorry Gator ass was run out of town. As for Hart, if he is truly protecting Doolittle, as many are saying, then ship his ass back to Alabamastan, PRONTO !!!

my main concern is more with the academic side of things. us trying to be Vanderbilt now with our academic admissions criteria for sports. all this time I really blamedmed fulmer for putting this in this position with all his crap recruits his last 2 coaching years. it sounds like we started going down ever since we put high academic standards on sports. how are we supposed to compete when we require much more academically than Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina you name it. we can't have both...see Vanderbilt
