Not to be that guy but I’m just so far past this. The only explanation for this other than the ones offered above is the Lane Kiffin theory. Even if it’s negative publicity it’s still publicity. Not my opinion but Lanes. I truly hope we can move on past this stuff and let Penny flop on his own. I don’t like the Vols being tied to UMemphis in any shape. JMO

Of course. I just don’t let people get thrown under the bus without giving them a chance and I remembered seeing this in the clip. Many people were saying nothing happened. Nothing was an exaggeration. But Penny kind of threw himself under the bus with his own exaggerations and then lack of professionalism.

I remember there was a Memphis player with his fists clenched and arms down to flex his chest, this was right after the two players were following Bone. Memphis coach was pushing him away. Penny must have missed that.
