People in the SEC are use to having about 4 maybe 5 teams that are so much better than the rest it turns into a blowout every time your team plays the others. This is not the case in the modern era. It's all about match ups, and there are a plethora of variables.(how does your ol matchup vs their dl, vice versa, how does your teams wrs match up vs their secondary, vice versa) . Count your blessings when your team wins, and hope your team rebounds from a loss. That is where we are at. That can only be the explanation of fla struggling vs Vandy, ut vs USC, Bama getting lucky vs ut, etc. I think fans should just enjoy the ride and hope the football gods are on your side. UT could easily be undefeated, or could easily be worse. Bama could have three losses or more. It's just the nature of the beast.

Did you see all the upperclassmen starting for SC? They will be so bad next year it's silly.

People think the games are played on paper and that the results are transparetive. You would think after years of watching football people would have some perspective

I think you're assuming most people seek to engage in active logical thought as a means of dealing with familiar scenarios.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment, brother.

I just go back to my experiences in coaching HS in a big classification. We could not beat this team in our district. They went undefeated one year and was beat in the first round of the state playoffs. We advanced and played the team that beat our nemesis only to blow them out in the semi finals. Go figure.

It was match ups all right...just not amongst the players. One coach made adjustments and called an aggressive game. The other just has a bunch of clichés

Right.....unless you are Bama, Florida, LSU....

Wait....you must be talking about
Candy or Kentucky. Yea that's out our league. We should just be thankful for a win against anyone.

I don't claim to be a genius or anything, but would you mind telling me what 'transparetive' means? I can't find it in the dictionary. Perspective, I've got.

She may be weary
Women do get weary
Wearing the same shabby dress
And when she's weary
Try a little tenderness

Women do get weary
Wearing the same shabby dress
And when she's weary
Try a little tenderness

You Know she's waiting
Just anticipating
The things that she'll never possess
But while she's there waiting...

That's all you gotta do

Our program is not to the point of EVER complaining about winning a game, especially an SEC game. In the late 1990's and early 2000's, sure, but in the past 10 years we should be elated with any win.. Geez.

People don't really remember just how bad the SEC was in the 90s. Us and Florida were really good but pretty much everyone else wasn't after Bama got in trouble.

We had our down years at the worst time when the league suddenly got a huge influx of cash and most of the schools got their **** together and started caring enough about football.

Maybe the SEC wasn't as strong top to bottom in the 90's as it is today. However, to say Bama wasn't good in the 90's is not correct. They had 2 bad seasons during that decade but other than that, they were pretty dang good including a National Championship in 92.
