Folks on Aggie board believe Mizzou would be added to east instead of one team from the west being moved to the east

If you want to wait to read the newspaper to find out what's going on, feel free. Otherwise, go ride your bike, stay off the forum or quit *****ing about it.
Link? Link? Link? I get tired of seeing that crap.

It's my opinion that Mizzou is coming and I don't need a link to give my opinion on an opinion forum.

Excellent post.

Is anyone hearing that A&M might be having second thoughts. No I do not have a source other than the Oklahoma City newspaper link below, but it was on the local radio reported that T. Boone Pickens is calling on Gov Rick Perry to talk some sense into A&M to keep it together. Pickens said that the lawsuit from Baylor is real and won't be dropped. Pickens is reportedly trying to negotiate A&M to stay in the Big 12 and work with Texas on dissolving the Longhorn network. Pickens is not happy about Oklahoma State going to the PAC 12. Just what is being said on local KC radio which covers Big 12 in particular (Mizzou, KU and K-State).

This is the same "news" site/blog that said OU was going to say they had an sec invite to try to get Texas to make a move / push their buttons, I believe

It's a possibility. UF and USCe might b--ch about it, but it could certainly be one of several options

FSU and SEC ISN'T happening..the SEC isn't going to 16 teams unless they can get Oky and VT.

We're not even targetting OU. They have another team they want to bring, and frankly they'd probably chuckle at our invite

It's almost like the game, Risk, imo. Sec goes west and claims land. Sec then goes Midwest to claim land.

Do not like.

I'd rather try and make it work with 13 teams before we add them

I agree. I don't think they bring anything to the table athletically, number one. Number two, they will bolt for the Big Ten Eleven Whatever given the first opportunity.

would the SEC be better off with UF or FSU? UF is one of a handfull of programs that could live being a indy. IF Slive wants to risk that over a program that doesn't have the viewers(25% less than UF) and can't even pay their coaches/staff w/o state money, he'll be a bigger clown than the guy calling the shots at Texas.

I never like this kind of speculation getting out early...all it does is cause extra attention and the universities denying such talks

It's alot harder to leave a conference you just joined (especially in the first 5-7 years) than it is to leave a crumbling conference

The Big 10+1 made it work for years b4 they added Neb...adding a 7 conf game seems like a win for all SEC teams..adding Mizzu would waterdown the league imo and we all know they'll jump to the l"eaders and legends" when they get an invite...why even bother?

IMO the SEC has a NCState offer on the table....we've taking little brother once why not make it a double?

If notre dame shows even the slightest interest, no doubt

But they won't take mizzou just to get them; they just got 12 and a new lineup/system they wont jump to 13 unless they're sure they'll get 14

If OU, OSU, TTU and Texas go to PAC12/PAC 16, then BIG 10 will have to act quickly.

These kind of things going out (especially falsely) just make everything more for the parties involved.

You put mizzou in an odd, speculating block with the other Big 12 members until the conference actually breaks up

You put the SEC in another odd position especially when they're facing a lawsuit regarding tort in its negotiations with aTm

And anything like this happening near big 10 land makes it more likely for them to wake up and start making more offers to others
