Here’s the thing not many people probably want to hear

We've still gotta win in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa, something we haven't done in forever. Just like today, until we prove we can win against those 3 they have to be considered losses. Hope I'm wrong
Dude, we're 2-1 against Bama and Florida in our last 3 matchups with those teams

When was the last time Florida was this bad?
My point is that we have lost to many perceived "bad" Florida teams down there. Nobody should be counting wins (or losses) at this point. There's not an SEC team on our schedule that we can't beat or get beat by. Last season many people considered Arkansas a "can't lose" game. There was the debacle at South Carolina a few years back. This place was super overconfident about that one. You just never know what can happen in a game.

Agree on Florida. We have lost to many bad UF teams. And Arkansas looked good against Ole Miss / Oklahoma is much better this year / Vandy looks very well coached

We’re a pretty damn good football team.

Georgia is a damn good team probably a top five team in the country. They have one of the best coaches in the country if not the best coach right now. Despise all the complaints from fans the scheme was good enough to win, our execution just wasn’t. We’re going to get healthy and be a thorn in the ass for anyone else we play this year.
That’s the most sensible thing posted on this forum. You win and lose as a team. Dropped ball, missed tackle, missed block, wrong read, poor execution, wrong play called ,penalties, turnovers missed kick. And sometimes the other team is better on that day. People need to understand not any one thing should be pointed to. Dont allow the T D and 2 point and it is of no relevance. As with a lot of other plays during the game

Exactly it wasn’t just the conservative play calling. We had several opportunities to win this game. A stop on fourth down, stopping the two pt conversion, at least two balls that absolutely should’ve been picked, yard after yard given up on poor tackling.

Actually not as many as you think. I would say 90% of the time, Florida was the more talented team. 2023 is one of the few exceptions.

Agreed. We break the Swamp curse this year. Napier won't even be coaching there when we play them and they will have a losing record. Stadium will be half filled. Luckily, for the first time in a long time Tennessee and Florida are trending in different directions.
There’s a fair chance he won’t be.

I be a believer if we go to Tuscaloosa and win. Till then I refuse to get hype for a game again. Yesterday broke me. Falcons and Vols kickers hate my liver

You have a loser mentality. A bit of advice, in this world “hope” won’t get you much. I am so glad our team has a different mindset and is looking forward to playing ball this season.

I do understand the disappointment of losing in OT to a top 10 team, but I’ve seen enough ball to know what I saw was a really good UT team that will only get better. As a fan, I’m looking forward to those matchups you mentioned far more than UAB or Arky, etc….

I think we can win them -

Edit: tbh, I think the Sooner’s will be our most difficult remaining game and the Dores will be much more of a problem for our O than the gators. The gators will have 5 or 6 loses by Nov. , and will likely be “hopeful” they can hang.

Not the direction I thought this post was going:)

We learned that we've got a QB to where we're now going to be worried about a drop off next year as opposed to this being a "bridge" season. Teams are now going to have to start putting double safeties over the top, which will for sure open things up for our rushing game and underneath routes. If we handle business, I think this game will be a non-issue w/ the playoff committee. Unless, of course, we got Gunner and Bobo's best games (as we do tend to get from UGA) and they take 2-3 losses.

Geez, the anguish of being a Falcons fan. I can’t help it, been pulling for them since I was 5 yrs old. I’m nothing if not loyal though, although sometimes I’d like to strangle some folks in the Falcons organization. I’m not exactly sure who, but someone isn’t earning their paycheck!🧐

Yesterday was us going head to head with a great team for more than 60 minutes. The biggest knock on JH has been his “gimmick” offense doesn’t work against legit teams like Georgia. He absolutely blasted a Kirby smart defense yesterday.

This team can be dangerous. We played alot of players on a patch work defense. Joey played the best games we’ve seen from a Tennessee quarterback against Georgia since Kirby got there. It’s time to get back to work and build on the offense, and get this defense playing better.

When do you think they fire Napier? I think it will be after they lose to UGA / after November 1.
It’ll be after the 5th game. They don’t want to lose all their players (players can take a r/s after the 4th game) but they’re not gonna let him stick around long enough to win a couple games & people say “you should give him another year.

The worst thing for him is DJ is sucking. Fear of DJ leaving is about 99% why he survived LY

I wonder if he got confused about the time remaining? They didn't reset the game clock right away and maybe he thought there wasn't enough time to run the play again.
He couldn’t have gotten confused about the time remaining. There was :07 on the clock when the false start happened. One second ticked off and was put back on after the penalty was called, plus we still had two more timeouts outs in our pocket.

He panicked and didn’t trust our linemen not to do the same thing again, plain and simple.

Still, Gilbert should have made the kick.

We will lose at least 2-3 more games.
This is what people dont want to hear and its truth. Unless we get a lot better on defense we're not beating Bama or OU. Could very easily lose another one out of Miss St, Arkansas, UF or Vandy. I think everyone is generating false hope coming off this UGA loss. UGA is not very good on offense and they just put 500 yards of offense on us and ran the ball down our throats. Our offense is championship caliber and back to as close as we've ever been to 2022. I'm not at all saying we cant get better on defense. Getting all our guys back healthy would be a huge step but it sounds like Hobbs and Moi are going to be the only 2 we're gonna get back. Really need at least one of Gibson/McCoy back because Redmon isnt ready for a full SEC slate yet. But again, we have to be a lot better on D to make the playoffs.
