Most of the game, the Vols outplayed them. However, Georgia is no slouch. Had we had a few less injuries, especially on the defensive side? No doubt we would be partying our asses off right now. Sadly, that missed field goal killed us. Our boys were worn down, and we were not up enough to handle overtime. Still proud of how we stood up to them. We’re a pretty damn good football team.
Georgia is a damn good team probably a top five team in the country. They have one of the best coaches in the country if not the best coach right now. Despise all the complaints from fans the scheme was good enough to win, our execution just wasn’t. We’re going to get healthy and be a thorn in the ass for anyone else we play this year.
The last 20 years, Georgia has had superior talent every year. We are closing the gap and had a great chance to win a he game tonight. Member, we have 53 Freshmen and red shirt Freshmen on this team and played Georgia into overtime. I am proud of have our team is improving and they will continue to improve every year.4-16 over the last 20 years against UGA. I'm tired of being the thorn. Either find the people who can turn this team into the dagger that gets thrust into the heart of opposing teams or gtfo.....
I think Kirby Smart knows they didn't deserve to win that game tonight. But they did. We have to clean up some stuff on defense and get some injured people back. Ty Redmond is good but he was targeted tonight for good reason, he's a freshman. Offensively, we took 2 quarters off, that's partly on the players and partly on the coaches, but also because Kirby Smart is a darn good coach, they made adjustments. We have a good team, but not good enough to play conservatively after putting up 21 1st quarter points. We have to learn how to put teams away.This. It’s literally the first SEC game and we had every chance to outright win it. It’s a long season, and our team just went toe to toe with the program that has dominated college football for the better part of the last 4 years.
We might be pretty good. I do actually feel better about the team right now than I did 15 days ago. I do question Heupel as an in game coach though, and I think it could be what ultimately holds us back, not just this year but going forward too. We’re a pretty damn good football team.

Anyone who shares this sentiment has zero right to post anything negative about the game today. If you guys thought we had no chance to win today, then you should be proud of the teams performance. We've still gotta win in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa, something we haven't done in forever. Just like today, until we prove we can win against those 3 they have to be considered losses. Hope I'm wrong
Exactly my sentiments. He’s an excellent CEO but he has had clock management issues since he arrived. He is better with no time outs and just calling plays with the flow. I haven’t rewatched the last couple of minutes of the game but to my recollection he took things for granted. He ran 3 straight plays into the line just trying to get the ball spotted. He had plenty of time outs and should have run the offense to keep moving the ball towards the end zone.We might be pretty good. Before anyone gets panties wadded, I think firing Heupel would be the dumbest decision our athletic department has ever made, which is saying a lot.

Depends on the individual. Some fans or coaches can see a loss and not care, some players get devastated over any loss. I didn’t see players out there who don’t care, but I’m sure many of them will be in a better mood on Monday than many fans will be. But sometimes players need to be like good corners and have a short memory.Exactly my sentiments. He’s an excellent CEO but he has had clock management issues since he arrived. Talent levels are very close. Both teams had injuries to starters. Punch gut for sure, just imagine being a member of the team. Sometimes I think adult coaches and fans take loses harder than players.
By the time we play Florida , there season will long be over wind will be out there sales… there should be ole Ty tickets available for vol fans to make that trip…. And being honest , bama don’t look that good on both front lines defense or offense …. We should take care business in t town finally.
