Actually...I'm pretty sure that the Herd in the title of this thread is a reference to Cowherd's last name and his show and isn't a typo...but I understand you're trying to be like so many on here and point out meaningless typos

Answer the question of basically don't post something like this. You only made yourself appear ignorant.

The name of the damned show is 'The Herd'.

Now, does anyone have the answer, I missed the show myself?

Cowherd...

"The quality of your sports team can affect the quality of your life..."

may explain why i have been miserable and pissed off as of late, but now i find myself satisfied again.

He liked the hire.
Commented on this youthful and fit appearance.
Said he worked under some great coached.
Talked about how he got his recruiting skills from Pete Carroll.
Said his wife was hot.
Said Lane would have to learn to "play the game" meaning act southern even though he is not.
He commented that Saban was a yankee that has mastered "playing the game."
Commented that he would have to eat more cornbread and try grits. Said he needed to talk slower so we can understand him.
Overall it was a positive for the hire.

Ditto. Horrible grammar. If you are going to correct someone, try not to appear ignorant in the process.

Folks calm down all thats being done here is creating an angle for ratings. They know that southerners hate being referred to as rednecks, that most don't like the dumb just cause your south of Mason-Dixon. Thats as far as Yankee thinking takes them, believe me they're reaching.

At least he's not plagiarizing, being told of it, and then still refusing to give credit.

At least he's not telling his listeners to crash a website for absolutely no reason at all.

He's acting like a total choad, which is pretty much par for the course.

You forgot to mention saying that a man that was killed trying to defend his pregnant girlfriend during a robbery was killed as a result of being a thug.

I don't listen to him at all; there was a time where, if I wanted to hear anything on my way into work, his show was the only choice.

He reminds me a great deal of Rush Limbaugh. Make a point, pause for 12 seconds, reiterate the point, pause for 30 seconds, go back to an earlier point and tell everyone how right you were about that for a good 45 or 50 minutes, and so on.

Do you really think this is garbage? The "talking slower" part pisses me off. However, having always lived in the Southeast (East TN and north GA), and doing business with folks all over the US, there is a distinct way of doing things down here.

It won't be a big change for a good recruiter and coach, though. That's because the biggest difference is that business is built on relationships and trust in the South. Those things are common for coaches when dealing with fans/boosters/high school coaches/ect.

Only reason I know about that was because I was up in DC when Taylor was killed and 'Skins fans were none -too-happy about Cowherd's comments.

I was laughing the entire time.
People in the south need to lighten up with things like this.
Cowherd is with out a doubt my favorite national talking head.

Whoever takes the Washington job better "play the game" and have a very "grungy angst" attitude to him. Also he must have 16 flannel shirts and it helps if he hates the WTO. And get used to eating a lot of sushi, cause that's just how people are up there.

Whether or not he supports it is irrelevant. Colin Cowherd is an idiot and I'm not sure how he has a radio show.

Didn't catch 'The Herd' but have been catching bits and pieces of Atlanta sports talk and there's been quite a bit about TN and Kiffin...most of it pretty critical as would be expected...questions about his experience, age, and apparent nervousness at the presser. However on one show when pressed about Monte and the big O, the host admitted that that was a formidable staff.

Some of that is sour grapes over how the Dog's season has gone. It is also fashionable in GA to ridicule TN as a response to TN's owning GA for so many years.

I'm fine, let them have their fun, let Kiffin go to work, go ahead and take us lightly and watch out.
