Yes, this is the guy who repeatedly has said over and over recently that UT fans should know their place and be happy with 8-4 seasons.
Over a 100 year history, Tenn IS an 8-4 team. Even with Neyland and Fulmer they have a 67% winning history. Over every era of change to today. For every 10-2 there is a 7-5 to match it. If they hadn’t made the play in OT against Miss St it would have happened this year.

For that matter, if we make one of 6-7 plays at the end of the UGA game, we are not having this conversation.

If I use your analysis, then I suppose that both UF (.626) and UGA (.668) should be happy with 6-7 wins a year as well? It sure worked well for Mark Richt. Do you think Kirk would tell UF fans to be content to win 6-7 games a year and know their place? I didn’t hear Kirk dress down UF fans when they were complaining about Dan Mullen? 34-15 seems to be slightly higher than UF’s .626 historical, correct?

I’m just giving historical facts. The comment I replied to was Herbie supposedly saying Tenn should be happy with 8-4 seasons. Actually Herbie said fans should give Heupel a long term contract, not be happy with 8-4 records. I was stating that 8-4 is their historical average.
Ga and Ala had down decades also. Everyone thinks the 90s with Fulmer (75%) the 2000s - 2020s with Sabin and the 2020s with Kirby. Fl had Spurrier and Meyer but little else In their history. Now it’s game on with money in the billions. Everybody can’t be the best.
