Herbstreit on Vols (merged)

Also, somebody on WLAC last night said Fulmer and Chavis are mired in the 80's while the rest of the SEC coaches have adapted to today's college football strategies.

What mentality was it that won an NC and two SECCs in the 90s? :whistling:

I forgot this guy's name, but he stated he expected UT to win out starting with Alabama, but said he forgot to include the Fulmer/Chavis factor when making that prediction. When asked what the Fulmer/Chavis factor was, this guy replied by saying that he forgot to include that UT coaches would be outcoached in at least one remaining game and most probably two.

Some ridiculous thing he said to cover his a-- :lolabove:

Hindsight is 20/20, but I thought this guy was pulling no punches and very accurate with his statements. WLAC is ready for a coaching change big time.

Well, that does it for me. :mf_surrender:

Wow... a Fulmer supporter. :eek:hmy:

there is alot more supporters then haters.......the ones that hate Fulmer signed up here just to gripe and moan about his firing.........same people weekend and weekout....I dont disagree with them, but the numbers aren't as bad in the real world as on here (anti-Fulmer)

Talent won it in the 90's, not coaching

Have you even watched any of the games this season???

Well, that does it for me. :mf_surrender:

Thanks for the comments though, now go back to the Krispy Kreme forum and post your comments there

Its just Fayettevol, Orangesquare, and UT IE now... All right, I have no idea what people in Knoxville are saying, but I doubt it is mostly pro-Fulmer.

Dude, unless you live in a cave with your cave buddy who also loves Fulmer, I can't understand who you are talking to that is still all about Phil. I have not talked to more than 2-3 people who are still ok with the man this year. And I talk about football quite a bit.

I don't hear all these Fulmer supporters he apparently sees all day long and I flat out disagree with his notion that this board is full of a bunch of Fulmer haters. That makes the arguments I read on here seem somehow unreasonable, which they are not. Plus his posts are just flat out retar....never mind.

You didn't respond to me Fayette. Are you happy with the job Fulmer has done over the past 5 years? Are you happy with what he is doing now?

All of you singing the praises of Kirk Herbstreit have a short memory of how he and Corso campaigned against Peyton Manning all year long for the Heisman.. . .yeah it has been 10 years and I still remember.

oh dear... please.. can you just edit your post and erase it? There is no need to revisit this topic for the 2,000 time in the mere 14 months I've been on this board.

Flaming and name calling are against board rules. Keep the conversation classy, please.

Kirk Herbstreit, in my opinion, is one of the best college football analysts out there. Few are as objective as he.

As a live-long, diehard Vols fan, I can objectively say that Herbie is right on the money.

I agree. As much as I think Herb goes out of the way to beat up on Tennessee. You are right on the money of Herb's analysis of the UT Program. Even Lou Holtz made the same comments and he is blind as a bat.
