Kid is just doing what he feels is best for his NFL career. He is a California guy. He doesn't care about rivalries or school allegiance. He doesn't follow the UT like any of us and never was. We were fortunate to have him take a chance on us and play for the coaches at time. Let him do what is best for him. Afterall, Bama just sent multiple guys in the 1st round.

We convince Trey Smith to stick around only to get drafted in the 6th. Brandon Kennedy is undrafted. Guys like Tee Higgins made the smart choice to follow the best NFL path, not their heart. The odds of making it here at the moment are unfortunately not too good. I hope things can change around. But I can't fault kids for doing what was best for them...at least right now when there is still a gap in level of play and number of players sent to the NFL.

I have been done with him ever since I saw that pic of him dancing in the tunnel after a loss. He has no heart! I have NEVER lost at ANYTHING and felt like dancing!!!!!!!

Good luck young man. Thanks for the work you did.

Some players want to be on winning teams. Some dont want to be part of rebuilds. They may have also known, or have know of, or heard/read about or coaches and they are not what they player wants.
They may not fit the system.

Next coule years will be tough and the new coach wont have experienced talent. Let's see if he can make at least a little chicken salad. Let's see how he can mix in his recruits and how they play and progress. Its not like they were a good group as a whole so as the more talented ones do leave is it really that bad for tenn? I dont think so.

IF he had decided to stay at UT there would be nothing but praises for him. I too wish he had gone outside the SEC but to trash him now is worthless. Heck he has a better chance of getting a higher draft pick coming out of AL then he would have here, see vavolfan6 post above. Its all about the future for these guys, not school loyalty. Its real world now.

I am glad Henry T came to Tennessee and appreciate all of his efforts here. But anyone who went from Tennessee to bammer must have never understood how things are in the SEC.

You must not have read what UGA was saying when Cade left there. Don't act like every fan base don't pull this same act when a player leaves for a hated rival.

We as a fan base don't have some moral obligation to be happy for him because we got players from other schools in the past.

Being like UGA fans is a low standard

There a pretty big difference in being happy for someone and wishing they get their legs broken.

It's also odd people want to hold on to someone that may get us out on probation.

I don't disagree with you, but if the last 15+ years hasn't shown that our fan base is no better then UGA, Bama, and Florida I don't know what will.

UGA fans was hoping Cade would lose fingers. Bama was hoping Kennedy would roll a ankle. I don't think it was because they didn't like them as a human, but because they went to a hated rival.

That's part of playing in the SEC. If you can't take the heat you better leave the kitchen.

As for me I hope he as a long successful life. I just hope he never sees the field at Bama.

The finger thing is not about Cade and hoping Cade loses fingers. It's about Kevin's lawsuit against UGA. Kevin lost part of his finger at UGA when he closed a folding chair on it. Then he put in the Court papers that one of the reasons he deserved $$$ from UGA was that he (Kevin) could no longer please his wife without all his fingers. I can't say that I really blame them for mocking that, that's what they call "leading with the chin" in boxing. It worked though, Cade got eligibility last year for all the good it did us.

And YES. Henry To'oto'o will start at Alabama. They are absolutely set on defense except for one ILB spot...which has now been filled. He'll be playing beside Christian Harris- an 80 tackle 4.5 sack LB and Will Anderson probably the best pass rusher in the SEC, and only a sophomore.

What did we replace him with?
The best Linebacker Texas has had in years, and future NFL draft pick...so we didn't lose anything truly. It's just that we still need to add a pass rusher and athletic CB...

I personally like the nastiness Mitchell brings. It doesn't mean Henry To'oto'o was a dud. Obviously not if Bama accepted his transfer. I don't think we will miss him though.

I've been excited about seeing Mitchell play beside Banks. Garland looks to be a solid 4th LB/ special teamer.

I like how things are being shaked up!! It creates uncertainty. I have to be real. Bama looked super sloppy in their spring game. Talented but super sloppy. Not sold on O'Brian as OC. They're vulnerable.

I don’t give an eff about Bama’s lineup. But he better learn to cover the slant or he’ll be in the portal again.

Maybe I'm miss reading what you are asking. I never said anything about "y'all's fan base". That would imply I'm not including myself.

If you are referring to what I mean by our fan base (because I include myself), is what you see is what you get. A few topics on the main page "Henry T officially gone", "Reasons to dislike Pruitt", "The making of Cornbread.....".

We don't have a moral high ground on any other fan base. Now with that said if you feel better wishing him well I would do that. If you feel best telling him to get lost do that. Every fan base is going to be filled with both regardless of how me or you see it. If seeing it that way makes you see me as less then of a fan than you I'm ok with that.
