Hendrix opens up about transfer

Can you flesh that out a little more?

Carr left apparently because the staff no longer believed he was a DL and asked him to play OL.

Henderson apparently couldn't get his grades straight.

That leaves Hendrix who played as a Fr... And if he was worried about immediate playing time then why would he transfer knowing that he would have to sit out a year?

Maybe we just take the kid at his word, he just wasn't happy at Tennessee. Maybe he's homesick, missing a girlfriend, doesn't like his position coach, etc. or a combination of these. These aren't totally mature adults making what we might consider rational decisions. Maybe he thinks he made a bad decision in not going to Missouri. We all have had some the "grass is greener" moments. This doesn't point to some underlying issue with the coaching staff or the kid for that matter. As you pointed out each kids circumstances are different.

Let me step into sjt18 shoes for a moment. Maybe this will help.

It' Butch's job to make the players happy. He should put pictures of mom and like... some meatloaf on their dorm wall so they feel happy.

I used to run a big corporation with thousands of employees so i knew I had to flex my giant intellect to get things done. You think the big bosses cared if these dummy's weren't on my level?

Anyone whose ever lived in MO knows that's wrong.

Yes I did point that out and stop using my words against me. Look, I've been disappointed... It's Butch's job not to let that happen again. I have the right to hear nothing but good news and i better get it. You think it's easy hanging on this cross?

The things he actually said were that he wasn't happy and didn't like the way he was talked to.

Whether it is an underlying issue or not... their very extensive process used to vet recruits didn't catch something. That's not a big deal if its one guy. It becomes a big deal if it is 4 of 7 signees at a single position over two classes.

Back to Hendrix; word on TOS is that he's having second thoughts.

That would be great if he did.

Stripling gave the clear impression that they did all they could to talk him out of leaving. Hopefully between the coaches and his family he's been able to put things in perspective.

Like so many other things... you need to dig a little deeper before smarting off.

Bet a martyr demands excellence and won't accept excuses in the sjt Bible huh? :wink2:

Diffinately THIS^ Everyone wants this kid to stay and play!

Hendrix is still on scholarship for this next semester and is doing what any smart person should do if they are going to transfer and will have to sit out. I would not put much stock in the rumors.

There's only one Bible. Just asking if you actually knew what the word martyr means to see if you are as smart as you think you are.

One who is killed for their beliefs or to actually kill for a belief...which was the point. Your posts have grown incessantly pious as you wage your crusade. Along with complimenting yourself for bravery, you've taken on a William Wallace persona. Now you're resorting to second guessing your dissenter's choice of words...you this petty when you were commanding battalions? Take it as gospel that when I throw a word at your noggin?... It's the right one. :yu:
