Hendon Hooker interview with Ron Slay

According to this interview between Slay, Hendon, and Joe, Hendon tore his meniscus the week before the South Carolina game and played anyway. 🤯

In reality, that was the perfect storm for that team. Coupled with the Banks deal, we only had a chance if SC didn't hit on all cylinders and Rattler didn't have his best passing game ever. It's not like his throws were to wide open guys all night. They were perfectly anticipated and on time into the tightest windows ever. That loss really had nothing to do with them, maybe knowing our plays. Lindsay Vonn completed a grueling downhill practice at the Olympics today with a totally ruptured knee. Hooker's meniscus tear isn't in the same ball park, playing with it as what she is doing. You would have to be a skier to understand

But but but, that loss was caused by our MLB? 🤷
I couldn’t say if Banks was the problem but I drove my son five hours that weekend to see the high flying Tennessee offense with Hyatt and Hooker and others. During the warm ups I remember looking at my son and commenting, “something’s off, they don’t act like they want to be here.”

The troubles of that game were apparent from the moment they stepped on the field.

Also, either Rattler caught lightning in a bottle that night or there are legs to the rumors SC was stealing signs. Considering the results of the FL game the week before, my money is on sign stealing.

I would say the evidence of sign stealing is looking pretty probable

Even if they had our signs, they were nearly perfect passing most of that game. Their rushing game was Their defense played just well enough to win. Our defense was listless.

They had 35 1st downs. We had 31. 66 1st downs. You don't see a lot of games where a team totals 500+yds of offense with zero interceptions and 1 fumble lost, then lose the game by almost 4 TDs like we did.
Rattler fit the ball in nearly every window. Incredible performance by Rattler.

I live in Columbia and I was also at the game with my son. I said the same thing as well. The uniforms didn’t even look the right shade of orange.
