I agree. Hopefully he won’t , but I think the university has bought in again. I expect Miami to be pretty good in the next 2-4 years.

Sounds to me and it’s my opinion but he may have sold them like Hype did the fat cats at Tennessee.

A good Miami team is a help and a hurt to Tennessee in college football

I agree. It’s kind of a double edged sword.

I always considered Miami and FSU programs winning 8-9 games per year is a net + for UT recruiting, but I think I miscalculated and it is better when they are 5-6 wins, because UF Gators are still not championship calibre without a top 5 coach. It is simply up to us to exploit these recruiting and gameday opportunities to keep the Florida schools down and put the boot on the throat.

I always have to laugh when people talk about Miami and FSU like they're some kind of traditional football powers. Miami of Ohio has more all-time wins than the Canes. The Seminoles aren't even in the top 100 in all-time wins. Tennessee is still top 10, despite many years of mediocrity (and worse).

Miami had a brief run of success and won some very mythical national championships. Bowden literally created FSU's football program from scratch. Both programs skirted the rules, to say the least. Neither is a traditional power.

There’s one thing notably missing from Tennessee’s storied football history — a Heisman Trophy winner. Through six national title seasons, no Volunteer has ever won the prestigious award. Really over the last two decades, no Tennessee player has even really come close.

I’m not saying he’s going to win it, but some of those players listed with better odds than him are ludicrous.

I just watched a highlight video of Josh Dobbs. Hooker had a tremendous season last year, but in my mind he still has some catching up to do in regards to Dobbs as far as his skill set. Can you imagine what Dobbs would've done in CJH's system? I have no doubt Hooker will have an excellent senior year, but the Heisman is a long shot. You have to have a winning season, unless you play for Notre Dame.
