Helton Staying Put [outdated]

Real talk, we’re still two generations away from soccer fandom unless the NFL addresses the CTE issue.
Side note: Nashville just got a professional club and attendance was great and they made the quarter finals in the USL Championship which is Division 2. Hopefully they can get to Division 1 in a few years

More importantly a oline. Way bigger issue.

These people calling for JG to be benched must have missed Tatum whiffing on his block when we were setting up a double move the possession after Chandler scored. That play killed our momentum.

Hyams also reported Jeff Brohm as our new HC during the search last year. Remember?
I like to take shots at Hyams also, but this isn't his speculation based upon his "sources". He's directly quoting Jeremy Pruitt. It would be a huge story if Helton got fired after providing Hyams with that quote.

I think he is gone before next season probably will hook on with another job and resign. The honeymoon is over next season all bad play reflects directly in Pruitt as head coach he should know who did the job well and who did not both players and coaches.

Then expect the same anemic offense next year.

If the offense is at the same level next year, then a change may be warranted. But we had a razor thin OLine that consisted of 275 pound kids who had to learn a new scheme. It’s hard to expect much when your lineman get pushed around and can’t block/open up holes.

When jimmy talked about that on the show this morning he said that he spoke to pruitt last night and pruitt said “those reports are inaccurate and he was not firing helton”

I actually think JG was serviceable this year if the OL could have not had him killed every game. I cant even decide if Helton is good as the OL was too terrible to notice. I think given the OL problems he should have used the USCe game plan the rest of the year. Quick passes, WR screens, RB screens, etc...

The lack of ability to run the football though is what got us killed.
