I am stuck here in this god awful mizzou country too. I say let him wear the jersey to the competition, but make wear a jayhawks shirt underneath and make take the jersey off before your little sis comes to talk to you guys. And I have to ask to find Mizzou fans as obnoxious as I do? they think they are a perennial power and they haven't even been in a national chmpionship or even won a Big 12 title.

Not worth the battle...but, buy him plenty of orange...and make sure he has some orange UT pants to wear with the ugly Mizzou shirt. That should help a little.

Let him wear it. Just make sure he understands that he is a VOL fan. I go through this with my part of my family also except its AL. I dont let him wear AL stuff at my house, but when he goes to my Dad's they put AL trash on him. The great thing is as soon as he get in my car away from them he says' "Dad Alabama ewww nasty Go Vols." I respond with, " Yea nasty roll tide, Love you boy." Started this when he was between 3 & 4, and still happens now...

ok, so i made my wifes family mad. Im a big UT fan stuck in Mizzou country. They bought my two year old son a Mizzou jersey and i told them no, only UT gear no trash will be worn by him. they are mad because i wont let him wear it. so my little sis is in town for the state cheerleading cometition and wants him to wear it, and low and behold my wife puts it on him. so should i take it off and never let him wear it again or let him wear it whenever to appease the family.

He's two..... I doubt that he'll remember it by the time he's old enough to care. Combine that with enough quality Tennessee football time with him and it should work out fine.

If still desperate to undo this mizzou business, I would make it my business to point out every time missouri loses.

Whose jersey number is it? I can respect a Maclin jersey. I'm stuck in Missouri and all I see is Chase Daniels jersey's everywhere. That gets annoying!!

My family is split between UT (me), Navy (me and wife) Purdue (in-laws). Both my kids have plenty of stuff representing all schools. But my kids love UT, because I watch the games with them and get them into screaming when the Vols do something great. Just watch the other two on occasion and don't get all that emotional.

If you wear enough VOLS apparel he will catch on.

Start hanging vols posters, using vols coasters, clocks, drinking glasses, key chains. and buy your wife vols lingerie. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
