ok, so i made my wifes family mad. Im a big UT fan stuck in Mizzou country. They bought my two year old son a Mizzou jersey and i told them no, only UT gear no trash will be worn by him. they are mad because i wont let him wear it. so my little sis is in town for the state cheerleading cometition and wants him to wear it, and low and behold my wife puts it on him. so should i take it off and never let him wear it again or let him wear it whenever to appease the family.

don't overcook the grits. stir the kool-aid. ruffle the feathers.

But buy him a Vol jersey that way you have something to fight back with.

After Tennessee scores their 1st touchdown today take it outside in the front yard and light it on fire to show them how its done.

I suppose living there that would be only normal. Just buy him a Tennessee one as well. Hopefully, he'll want to wear both but if he doesn't you'll have to understand.

I have a 9 year old who is obsessed with College Football, who has been influenced by some obvious ignorant associates, to claim Alabama as his favorite team. He wears Alabama PJ's, Jersey, Hoodie, shorts, and T-Shirts. He has asked for an Alabama bedspread for Christmas. He has bought the clothes with his own money. I am in hell. Worse things than wearing Mizzou jersey.

This.

(Just like you did with your wife's Kenny Chesney CD's after you saw him on stage with Tebow wearing a gators jersey.)

First post...

Exact same situation...Born in St. Lou., father raised us on UT football as it is where he was from. Did not go to Mizzou but nearly everyone I know did. I set the foundation early for the torch to be passed, purchased a Peyton UT jersey for a 2 year old.

Good luck! GO VOLS!

You tell them he's your son , and you only want the best for him and that's why you don't want him to wear a mizzouri jersey , that's just not a good life choice to wear that garbage. Go big orange.
On a side note, they knew you were a vols fan and they still bought him a mizzouri jersey, it seems like they started it by by doing this. Tell them he can keep it and he will use it as toilet papper!
