My wife's got a week long training course in Atlanta so we figured me and the boys would tag along and we'd all make the drive up to Knoxville for the November 5th MTSU game.

I'm wondering what my best bet for getting four tickets together will be? I realize single game tickets don't go on sale for a while, just hoping to get an idea how easy or hard they might be to come by. :whistling:

No info on the tickets, but wanted to say I hope you enjoy your weekend! How old are your boys?

it should'nt be that hard to get tickets with 4 together, even if you wait later.i went to stub hub for the ucla game and for the kansas(in bb) about 3 weeks before each game and got 6 together for a reasonable price.

Oh, and the beginning of November is my favorite time (weather-wise) to see a game. I'm sure y'all will have a blast!

Thanks everyone, sound promising. My boys will be nearly 6 & 4 by then. The older one loves telling everyone who'll listen that the Vols are his favorite team and that's why he likes orange. That gets a lot of odd reactions way up here in the great white north.

Tell your son way to represent.

Last year the opener, which wasn't a sellout, was the hardest to get tix for. A lot of people walked up wanting to either buy from scalpers or at the Stadium ticket office. It was a nightmare. The problem wasn't supply and demand but logistics. Just be careful of that scenario.

Try uttix.com or utsports.com- that has worked for me in the past. Good luck and GBO!!!

You can generally get a better price on tickets if you just buy them on game day. My family has had season tickets since the 1960s and you simply can't beat the price on the street, especially for a weak opponent.

You can always check the Vol Nation Ticket Forum

I second this. Done it many times without any problems. Just check their join date and posts just to be on the safe side.

Not necessarily an indicator. I was only on the site for about 5 months before I sold tickets to games I couldn't make(and will be again this year)

Hang out on the Strip or near Neyland last hour or two before the game and you'll have no problems getting 4 tix for a good price.

Long trip to risk not having tickets beforehand. I found myself in knoxville on game day intending to buy off the street and failed twice(both were last minute trips) . One time I only needed one, the other I needed 4 both were surprise sellouts. Buy before you fly!
