help needed finding a jersey

hey guys and gals....i need help finding a jersey. if you guys have any info or tips, it would be great. Obviously, this will be harder after his performance against Vandy but im looking for a Wes Brown Game jersey.My name is Will Brown, so ive followed him ever since i saw W.Brown grace the back of a tennessee jersey and on the field of play.I remeber when the bookstore use to sell the used jerseys but i cannot locate one, and living 8 hours from knoxville doesnt help.Can anyone help?

I will see what I can find around Knoxville! I am looking for a Regie White UT jersey myself! I can find his Green Bay jersey all day long but nothing for UT! I have nothing to do tomorrow so I will look around here for you!

Hate to burst your bubble, but you're probably not going to get one. The players get to keep one jersey each season and have the option to buy the other (per NCAA regulations) and I know Wes's family has all of his.

When UT does sell old game jerseys, they have to remove the names anyhow, per NCAA regulations.

if they have to remove them, why does volmall have some with the names still on them? i have 2 game used with the nameplate still on the that i got off of ebay, did they start doing this recently?

They used to get them yearly and would remove the names from the one that belonged to current players. Now, they have to remove them all IF they sell/auction them to the public.

Most of the ones that you find on ebay are non-adidas pre-1997 from the Seller College Jersey. He bought the surplus of old gamers when the UT Athletics store closed when the we outsourced to the current company in summer of 04.

The ones on VolMall were all from 99-03, but they've all been sold, with the exception of 3. UT has not sold game jerseys since they offloaded the four year supply to the new Tennessee Traditions store in 04. The 3 left on their site are the only ones left.

Now the players get/purchase most of the gamers. Sometimes you'll be lucky and a former player will sell one on ebay himself.

well, i guess ill keep my fingers crossed, doubt ill ever get the chance to meet the guy unless he gets invited to the senior bowl, which is a fairly close game for me.
