notwithstanding newton's legal issue while at florida, i have a couple questions:

1. does he have one more year left with auburn after this year?

2. had he stayed at florida and not gone to jr college, would he (have) run out of eligibility after this year?

...bonus question:

where do you guys think florida and auburn would be right now if newton had stuck with it at florida?

1. He has one more year of eligibility
2. It would be the same. If you transfer, you burn a year of eligibility, so the time frame works out the same.

Without him, Auburn may well be 3-5 or 4-4 this year. He has single-handedly beat Miss St, USCjr, Kentucky, Arkansas and LSU. Clemson is Auburn's only close win where Newton didn't have a stellar game. He is literally the sole reason they are atop the BCS right now.

Had he stayed at Florida and started this year, the Gators are likely 6-1 (still getting smacked around by Bama) and looking to clinch the east next week against Georgia.

Newton seems good enough to overcome a bad OC. I feel pretty confident in saying that if he stayed, Bama would be Florida's only loss to this point.

I have to believe Newton leaves after this year. He is a top 2 pick in the draft after this season - and i don't know who his competition for the other pick would be. He most likely is the Heisman winner. One of his runs against LSU for the TD was incredible.
