We went to the Knoxville zoo several years ago and stop by the stadium to get some pics and the gate was open so we went in down to the field picked a few blades of grass from around the goal post and left.

I've been as close to getting on the field as you can not being a player and was told if I somehow got on the field I would be in cuffs.

Your a straight forward poster but getting on the field I ain't buying it

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away around 1988 I parked in the Neyland lot every day and walked by the stadium on my way up to the engineering buildings. I could swear the gate that opened towards the engineering buildings on the end zone end away from the river (I have no idea which way is North there anymore) was open almost every day. That was a few stadium and locker room updates ago tho.
