Hey VN brotherhood, I will be in Knoxville later today and through Saturday and me, my uncle, and my son are heading over to Neyland tomorrow morning before the feast - my son wants to see it again.

3 years ago we went over and walked right onto the field with no one stopping us until Butch's Lexus pulled up and the players started making their way to the field for practice, then they told us to leave. Hoping for the same success this year and was wondering if anyone knows what time they will practice tomorrow so I can time my arrival for my son. We had so much fun 3 years ago - he's 9 now and I think it would be awesome to do it again.

Thanks!

You were able to walk right onto the field? I wouldn't think that. I mean I know before football games you can go walk right onto the court at TBA but that's a tad different.

Yes, it was kinda bizarre. I guess because it was Thanksgiving morning no one thought to staff the place with much security. We took pics at the 50 yard line and everything. Then the team showed up and we had to exit. Was really cool experience.

Typically there is minimal security in and around the stadium during the week, if a gate is open, you can probably walk in, worst case scenario is someone will come and ask you to leave.

If you do take a football and record yourself running a touchdown, then post it.

They give tours on the hour and they're pretty cheap. That way you see the locker room and lots more. $8 cash per person at Gate 21 M-Th.

Been to a lot of stadiums in the Southeast and Midwest on trips for different reasons. They always leave one gate open during the day. I have never failed to get into a stadium on an off day. In several instances, able to go into the locker rooms. Always fun to try and good to see different venues whether I've seen a game there or not.

I will go as far as I can - if I get the chance I may even put on some practice gear and see if I can blend in on special teams once practice starts.

How do we know we can trust you? You basically want us to tell you how to sneak(break) into one of the most hallowed grounds in the world with no regard. Ok, here's the plan ... first you'll need a spoon, wire cutters, floor mats, rain coats, water proof glue, and paper mache' heads that resemble you...

I've been as close to getting on the field as you can not being a player and was told if I somehow got on the field I would be in cuffs.

Your a straight forward poster but getting on the field I ain't buying it

You can search my posts for Thanksgiving Day 3 years ago where I posted a pic of me and my son on the 50 yards line if you till question it.

Never "break in" and never disturb, remove, or tear up anything. Respect the history and tradition of the stadiums, arenas, and campus of any school you visit.

And bring some packs of cigarettes to use as currency.

I got on the field as a kid after orange and white game A LONG time ago. Even got Bobby Majors to sign a knee pad I found. (no it's gone).
